Can't do that and sound even slightly serious. And honestly, all that type of claim does is diminish actual gender inequality issues.

Work loads in a family unit are entirely up to the people involved. There are no preconceived jobs for men and women. The only exception is those dealing with biological functions (men can't breastfeed...).

If I wasn't married already, I think I'd be with the Captain on this one... But my wife is awesome and we are never having kids.

That reply is a cop out.

I find the statement about men going to work and doing nothing else when they get home as offensive and out dated as saying you should never have been allowed out of the kitchen to make the post in the first place.

I agree with this, I don't know of one of my married friends or coupled friends that don't share the home burden. I know guys that work through the week and then spend their weekends and evenings either doing some kind of project that his wife asked him to do, or doing the almost constant upkeeping that a house requires.

I just got pissed off because the poster basically made it sound like the guy going to work is getting an easy ride or vacation for 10 hours a day.

If one half of the couple is doing tallys on what she or he does while writing off what the other person does, thats not a problem with laziness, its a hero complex, oh I work so hard while you do nothing, or if its the truth then marriage counciling is needed since the mail apparently sits around at work all day posting on CP.

Oh wait

I do. I also do most of the laundry, lots of the cooking, shopping, yardwork, etc.

The guys are giving you a hard time because you made it sound like you have it so horribly tough. It's up to both of you to divide the household crap. I do all of the above and also have time to train for bike races. And as has been stated already, "work" is no picnic either.

Amen bro!

My sister has 2 wonderful kids and has never pulled the i have it harder card, nor has she kept tally of who does more in the marriage. She loves her kids dearly and cherishes every moments he has with them.

I've also had the pleasure of taking care of them when her and her hubby go on a vacation. They were never a burden to my life and frankly i wish i had a couple of my own.

Just wait until your kids are old enough to do that all themselves. I swear that the happiest day in my dads life was the day that I could push a lawn mower, and drag a paintbrush over the fence.

You know, going 365 days wouldn't be impossible, but I'd just get bored. Hell, I write sex-related articles on the side for some magazines and give advice, but even that much sex would just get boring. Especially doing it that much with the same person, I'd lose my drive after about a month. A couple times a day is great, but doing it everyday is overkill.

There's something enticing about not getting it every time you want it; the best kind of sex IMO is the kind where it's not as frequent, but it's always a hot romp in the sack. You have to make it count, otherwise it's going to lose it's lustre.

I think I'm far more cut out to be single; I couldn't imagine shaggin' the same girl for four or five decades straight; I think after about a few years I'd try and convince her to swing.

Or convince her to wear pictures of various female celebrities on the back of her head at night.

Edit: As for the topic of this thread, I can totally see Mrs. Prefect doing that type of thing. Other than the book part that is.

Aye, one of many ways to spice things up. My friend became a new man when he started reading the Kama Sutra and other related literature; sometimes you have to think outside the box. Actually, the majority of the time you have to think outside the box. Nothing more dull than baggin' a sack of potatoes that just lies there.

Isn't sex outside the box flying solo?

Dear Penthouse letters;

I never thought I'd write you a letter in my lifetime, but there I was at the farmer's market, walking through minding my own business when I saw it. A bag of white potatoes, you know, the 50kg bag . . . Anyways I had to have it, and I named it Suzy . . .

If she really loved him she'd keep the 365 times in 365 days portion of the deal but with other women.

Only if it's described as so. If you tell people you're strokin' the one-eye wonder weasel or greasing your Mr. Jiggledaddy, then you're appropriately taking it in the creative direction.

My S.O. and I both have hero complexes.

We both try to do a lot so the other is impressed and indebted.

Because we're BOTH like this, we run out of things to repay each other with very quickly...

...which is why sex 365 days a year hasn't been a problem so far.

On topic, I think that when one comes onto CP to vehemently bitch about being hard-done by that they have a concrete position first, and not just an overly-developed sense of entitlement.

I look forward to the day I'm married and can finally have sex daily should I wish it. Being single sucks. I can't see the issue with being tired. I'm tired now, but I'd still be up for sex daily.
