Ever wondered what happened to Darr Maqbool? Apparently he opened up a little fansite about the Calgary Flames and still provides the odd meteorological forecast albeit in forum-form.
Edit: See?
FOR NOW EXPECTING BORDER LINE HEAVY SNOW FOR
LETHBRIDGE ABOUT 5 TO 10 CM.

I saw Anders Erkisson on the street today. He brought the doom and gloom. His wrath extends beyond the game of hockey.

It rained a few drops in Mckenzie and then stopped.
It was horrible, the humanity...

Something tells me that when I get home I'm going to find that regardless of the fact that I've now called twice about the skylight over my bed, it still leaks. Perhaps I can get a new bed out of the deal this time.

It's days like this where I'm glad I live in Tokyo. Except for the magnitude 6.8 earthquake last night, the weather's great!

Boo! That was lame - a couple strokes of lightning and that's it. If it's going to rain, I want a freakin' Biblical deluge and thunder that feels like it's gonna reach its fist inside your head and stretch your skull out like an elephant in a bikini.
It was looking so hopeful, too, with that black cloud in the north dropping ragged ashy streaks out of its belly and the sun more or less disappearing. Now its just plain ol' ho-hum gloomy again. Boo! Boo I say, boo!

Hate to be a buzzkill, but you better knock on wood, especially for those who had to deal with the tremendous damage done last year and the 2005 (2006?) floodings...I know you're saying it jest, but please - tongue in cheek! tongue in cheek!

Not sure if this is the appropriate thread, but....here are some nice shots of a great wall cloud near Great Bend, KS on Tuesday evening. Not 100% sure but I don't think any tornadoes ever formed out of this.
