I think dentists are kind of a commodity so I've always just picked the one in the most convenient location for me. Currently use the one in my office building. So that would be my recommendation.

I liked my dentist enough to follow him from Bowness to Airdrie when he moved out there: Dr. Amin Datu, Nose Creek Dental. He doesn't upsell you #### you don't need/want, he's practical, and most importantly, I trust him when he tells me something--something that I have not experienced with a dentist in Calgary.

Cool, thanks for the recommendation. My last dentist scheduled me in for a couple items. Stopped half way through to do a checkup on another patient while I sat and stared at the blank wall for 20 min. One before that ruined a root canal and ended up losing the tooth. I'd prefer to not have any issues and avoid them completely

For me it's the hygienist that's more important than the actual dentist as they are the ones that do the majority of the work unless you are getting dental work done. The quality of hygienists can vary wildly from dentist to dentist. I have never even had a filling so my only interactions with the dentist is at the end when he comes in to look at the X-Rays, check over my teeth, then collect $225 for five minutes work. Now I think about it I have no idea if my dentist is good or a butcher.

I can't recommend my dentist strongly enough: Dr. Glenn Chan at Harker, Chan and Associates. The location is not great (he's out on Glenmore by Ogden Road and I'm in the NW), but I gladly make the trek to see him.

I first went to him after I had a panic attack during a filling at another dentist (not sure what caused it, I'd had fillings done before without any issue). I thought about going the full sedation route, but decided to try Dr. Chan based on my mom's recommendation. He booked a pre-appointment for me where we talked about what happened at the other dentist, how I had felt and what he thought would work for me. Then, during the filling appointment, he was very patient and when my heart rate spiked and I started to feel panicky he remained totally calm and talked me down (the first dentist got a bit agitated himself when I started to panic, which did not help things - not that I blame him, I realize it would be very difficult to have a patient panicking like I was).

I've gone to him since then and have received top-notch service every time from both him and the hygienists. For what it's worth, he's also rated #1 out of the dentists in Calgary on ratemds.com: https://www.ratemds.com/doctor-ratin...algary-AB.html. I obviously whole-heartedly support that ranking.

I go to Dr. Morela at the Hunterhorn Dental Clinic. He's a nice guy and does a great job -- been going there since I was a kid.

I saw Bob Hawkins on southland and Fairmount. He took me in right away for a bad wisdom tooth and yanked it.

I have a dental anxiety and have always had one but he and his staff have done a great job. I'm going though some other work including scaling and cleaning and then I'll get the rest of my wisdom teeth out.

I think he's done a great job.
