I'm working nights these days, so I might try and escape work to buy this tonight. Hopefully the 24 hour WalMart here gets it at midnight.

My 360 works but the DVD-ROM is screwy and has a hard time reading disks. Eventually I'm going to have to ship it out and get it fixed for the second time in 5 months.

The really annoying thing is both times it's happened right when the release of a game I want to play bad comes out. The first time it was Guitar Hero 3 and a couple days after I got it I got the ring of death and now this though I can still play it. I'll just have to turn my 360 off about ten times before it finally reads the disk.

Vice city's taxi missions were interesting, as well as San Andreas' Pizza delivery on the scooter.

My favorite Vice city side mission was delivering cocaine around the town in an ice cream truck. The tank in flight was pretty neat if you could do it too.

San Andreas was way to big for me, I played the hell out of it but after a while driving from Vegas to LA was way too freaking boring and I never ever finished the game. The turf wars were awesome.

This game looks crazy, the multiplayer is an aspect of GTA that I always thought would be awesome since they introduced the mall in Vice City. The thought of having a multi-player shoot out in there seemed so awesome.

Best Buy opens at 8 tomorrow, so I assume FS does too... I would get there at 7, personally.

I called EBgames tonight, and they are open at midnight but only for pre-orders. I called Walmart, and they are open for walk-ins, but have no idea how many copies they'll have.

Tomorrow morning, try places like Rogers Video.

That's the other place I will try. Rogers Video, and Superstore. I am going to WalMart only tonight, so if I don't get it there, I will try those places in the morning. If not, then I guess I'll wait until the demand dies down. Cancelling my amazon pre-order might have been a mistake afterall.

Oh man the Future shop is totally trying to screw me around now. Just got a call that their store in Shawnessy where I pre-ordered, isn't going to be getting any PS3 versions of the game. Man there are going to be a lot of pissed off people at that location tonite. So I'm getting sent down the the one on MacLeod Trail where it's going to be bat-sheet crazy with all the overflow caused by this.

BEWARE!!!!!!

Thanks for the tip about the 1400 Xbox Live points card at Superstore- great deal. I needed a points boost anyways, so it's like I'm saving $20. Going to bed early so I can nab this game bright and early tomorrow morning!

Another option is London Drugs. Saw it advertised for the typical price in their last flyer.

A game this big will be easy to find.

Rockstar isn't going to lose sales because they didn't ship out enough copies to meet the hype.

If you could walk into a store and find the WoW expansion pack easily on day one GTA IV should be no problem.

Some amazing reviews on the net for this game. This has to be the highest rated game ever. Super Mario Galaxy, Zelda: Ocarina of Time, and Orange Box are currently the top scores on Game Rankings but that is likely to change if the reviews continue to come in at such a high rate.

Now to just find the time to actually play the game once I get it as there's no way my kids can watch this one! Late at night is the only chance I'll get.

Ii got to the future shop on mcleod at around 10:15 and there were about 15 people in line. By the time midnight rolled around there musta been 100 people in a line that snaked around the parking lot.

Been playing for the last couple hours.. a damn fine game i must say

What's the multiplayer in this game supposed to be about? How does it work?

Was unable to go at midnight due to work, but went to WalMart at about 4:00 AM, and the place was dead, with a lot of 360 copies remaining. Apparently the place was a zoo for awhile at midnight though. I was around Futureshop and EB Games and both places looked packed as well.

I picked it up last nigth at the Future Shop in Shawnessy, apparently the message they left meant no regular copies and only 20 special editions for PS3. They had a shat load of XBOX 360 ones though. Supposedly the manager said the regular editions had been stolen but I can't find any information on it anywhere. Regardless there were lots of unhappy faces in line when they said they were out of PS3 copies.

The special edition was pretty cool though, came with a nifty rockstar key chain, a safety deposit box and key, a duffel bag, the soundtrack to the game, an artwork book and of course the game. All the items were of surprisingly high quality. Usually the giveaways in a special edition are pure crap, not bad for an extra thirty bucks.
