I think that's a television commercial in the making!
Last summer, I got caught singing "Romantic Traffic" by the Spoons. I had my window rolled down and I was busy singing the "Do do do" part with cops stopped next to me at a light....laughing at me. The traffic wasn't feeling so romantic that afternoon.

Pat Benatar. What a voice.
Nitty Gritty Dirt Band.
Night Ranger.
I haven't updated this list for a while, but have added hundreds of songs since. When I get a chance I will update it again. Little late to do it tonight. Just got back from my weekly DJ stint at Killarney's Pub in Airdrie.
I host "all request" Saturday nights there. I really enjoy doing it; good people, both staff and patrons. I invest every cent (and more) that I make to be able to expand my system (added another 18" sub tonight!) but also on a lot of music I may have forgotten or didn't know about. It's an 80s/90s format, with some country and some dance tracks. Think Jack/Eagle meets 105 and the Vibe.
Good call though I don't care for Sister Christian.
Don't Tell me You Love me though....great tune!
Did any of you Night Ranger fans like Damn Yankees?
They had a few good tunes...Jack Blades from Night Ranger with Tommy Shaw and Ted Nugent.

Without a doubt Rush..these guys are master musicians but all you ever hear from people who hate them are "I can't get past his voice"
Have to agree here. Absolutely blow you away in a live show with their skill. I saw the Snakes and Arrows tour and Geddy has actually never sounded better.
I think if everyone that says they hate Rush, would actually go to a live show, they might be persuaded to change their mind.
Okay everyone, Aeneas finally made it in here, lets lock the door on this thread and keep all these geezers in here, except mango, what the hell is she doing in here?
Well I guess I would fit pretty close into the geezer category, not that I like to admit that, but I do agree with most of the bands mentioned in here too.

A Finnish band called Hanoi Rocks. Were pretty close to a international success, until Vince Neil decided to kill their drummer Razzle, driving drunk. They were an influence to such bands as Guns and Roses and Mötley Crue. If you have read "the dirt", the band is mentioned in several parts, apart from the drunk driving bit. They split after Razzle died but have now been reformed, and they can still make good tunes (The video below is from the 80's though)
Captain Beefheart never had a lot of mainstream recognition, but were widely influential in modern alternative, grunge, folk, and punk. Of course, Frank Zappa came out of that as a somewhat popular mainstream artist, but Captain Beefheart sort of disappeared.
