Know some music history chumps!
Black music had been made palatable for white people since the white big bands of New York and Chicago as far back as 1925. They played black music but hired no black musicians and the audience was, obviously, wealthy white people.

Three Dog Knight
Three Days Grace
Three Doors Down
etc etc

Three Days Grace has to be one of the worst groups I've ever heard. Just brutally formulaic. If you like this band you have no taste whatsoever. Don't take it personally just don't pretend like you have any capacity to appreciate good music at all, cuz you don't.

I never cared for Hendrix, but I can stand his music.
For some reason though, that reminded me of Lenny Kravitz as another artist I simply have to change the station on when he comes up.
Add me in the "I hate Rush" category too, as well as anything U2 did after Rattle and Hum.

The Beatles
The Eagles
Rolling Stones
...I should elaborate on the Beatles. Their older stuff when they first became popular is good. But once they grew their hair out and started travelling to India, and pumped out all that "coo coo ka choo" "lucy in the sky with diamonds" stuff, I have to draw the line. That high as a kite crap is just weird.

The Rolling Stones. I used to like them. Hell, I saw them on their Steel Wheels tour and it was a great show. But now they are old guys milking their past (poorly). I still love a bunch of their songs, but if I never heard Jumpin' Jack Flash or Satisfaction again, I wouldn't miss them.

I've never cared for Rolling Stones. Their music seems like it's churned out, mass production style. I admit that I like a couple of their songs, but none of them enough to load onto my mp3 player or toss on a mix cd.
I don't get why they're so popular on certain (crappy, IMO) stations like CJAY. In fact, they're part of the reason I never listen to CJAY.

Yeah, I'm in that boat. I was offered free tickets and free flight to see them at the sars concert, I declined since I don't like most of their music and my friend was so shocked to this day he bring it up

Aerosmith seriously gets on my nerves; a formulaic sound stuck in a key of major, with a borderline transsexual shrieking away on the mic. I almost gag in disgust everytime I hear them.
Other notable bands that have earned my distain are Van Halen, The Eagles, 54/40, Duran Duran, Bob Dylan, Bruce Springsteen, Radiohead, and The Rolling Stones.

Add me to the U2 vote.
Their songs aren't too bad but Bono can't sing.

Three more. Arcade Fire, John Mayer, and Jack Johnson.
There is something extremely hate-able about snobbish indy bands that get more hype than they deserve. The latter two are just pussies who are dumbing down music.
Forgot Matchbox 20 in my other post. One of the crappiest bands of all time.
Someone give me a placebo, I'm getting all worked up.

Maroon 5 - not sure if anyone would call them "great", but don't get them at all.
Rob Thomas - Hate his solo stuff (matchbox 20 was not my favourite either)
Fergie - not a band or a musician but go away already.
Rolling Stones - Not sure why so many people love them.
Van Halen & U2- Can't stand them
