I am in your riding to and he was the only one that I saw made an effort to get out and talk with people. He was at the Safeway in bedington mall a few weeks back talking to people. However, I couldn't bring myself to vote for a Liberal. He uld have been my second choice tho.

Having said that, he may get in because of people voting WRA.

Where to vote:

http://www.elections.ab.ca/Public%20Website/index.htm

This site makes no sense - how do you find out where to vote?

Some people I know go to the church in Montrose where the pastor that was nominated as the PC candidate, but them the PC's rejected the nomination and put in a different guy (Manmeet Bhullar, who I would vote for just based on the pure awesomeness of his name).

They're working for his campaign and they were telling me how terrible it was that the democratic process was circumvented and stuff, but reading some blogs it doesn't seem it was all that cut and dried (they were told that their nomination process was wrong before they even started but they went ahead anyway, someone was saying that they thought it was just the outgoing Pham trying to make life difficult for the PCs)

Anyway, is it just me or is there a law somewhere that every election has to have some kind of drama in Montrose. It seems an inordinate amount of weird election stuff goes on there.

Just click on Voters. Then click on Find My Electoral Division. Make sure StreetKey is available. Input your postal code.

Pretty simple, really.

Except, this is not working. Quite a failure on election day for them not to have this site working.

Is the fix in for the PCs? Do we need UN monitors in Alberta?

Didn't you get your StreetKey when the enumerators came around last month?

I never answer the door/phone at dinner time.

Or maybe StreetKey only goes to PC houses?

It's been down all morning. The funny part was, I tried to look up my polling station yesterday when it was working, and they tried to tell me my house doesn't exist.

You could call 1-877-422-8683 and get a busy signal.

Or, sent an email to wheretovote@elections.ab.ca. They'll probably reply tomorrow with your polling station.

I'm going to go to the place where I voted for the civic elections, and ask there.

Another alternative is call up the office of the guy you plan on voting for. I'm sure they'll know where you need to vote.

If you've got wheels, just head to the closest community center type place from your house. When you're there, if you're in the wrong place, they'll re-direct you.
It'd be a shame if alot of people don't vote because their website crashed. It's a pretty important election this time 'round.

I got through on the 1-877-422-8683 line, but that was this morning.

I've heard if you use your PC membership number as your login, it works fine.

This might work:

Curious - my poll is at a Christian school. Will I be stoned for not voting PC?

Just came back from voting... is it just me, or is there supposedly a law prohibiting election signs within view of a polling station? Cause the PCs had signs practically on Woodbine School property... same with the Liberals.

I have a booklet with the Calgary polling stations. If you give me your closest intersection, we should be able to figure it out.

The law was recently relaxed. Now signs or literature cannot be "on" or "in" the building. There is no longer a mention of "distance" from building.

Same with "day of voting"; radio and TV advertising is now allowed.
