Uh, Giants had just intercepted the ball deep on the Packer's side when I posted that.

I call that blowing a pretty good chance to win the game.

Personally I think if the Patriots can beat the Giants once....they'll beat them again.

Exactly. That's what I am saying. NYG almost blew the game. Packers were on their own side of the field. How is that blowing the game for the Packers? They weren't anywhere near FG range when Favre threw the INT. NYG missed the FG to win it which almost blew the game for them.

And no question that the Patriots are the favorites. 18-0, that isn't a small stat. That is very impressive. They played on the final week of the season and the Giants gave them all they could handle in a 38-35 game. I think it will be a close game regardless but yes the Patriots are the favorites.

And Green Bay blew their chance for a potential game-winning drive with Farve throwing an interception.

Absolutely.

I do think the Giants will give them a ride....but in the end the Patriots have too many weapons.

Well the Packers before that drive had about 3 consecutive 3 and out drives and weren't moving the ball at all much in the 4th quarter. We'll never know what would have happened had that been an incomplete pass but the way things were going, Packers would have probably punted on that set of downs but we'll never know. Shouldn't have even gone to OT. Tynes missed a 36 yard FG with 0 time left in the 4th quarter to send your team to the SB? Got to make that, although that was a really bad snap.

How crazy must it be in Boston right now to be a sports fan? There beloved Red Sox win the world series again, now the Patriots are heading to the Super Bowl with an 18-0 record, the Celtics have revived themselves and are a very good team after picking up Kevin Garnet, Ray Allen etc. heck the Bruins aren't so bad either. "Chowd Nation" must be loving it!!!!

I was going for GB but I watched the game at a friends place whose brother is a big colts fan. Since the colts are out, he was going for GB. Just to piss him off, I bet him $10 that NYG would take this one... Haha.

All I'm thinking right now, is that this is going to be a blow out superbowl.

It seems like the Pats get motivated by everything. Caught stealing signals, screw you, this is our legacy.

Randy Moss gets media attention for hitting a woman, the pats rally around him.

Next week the rallying cry is going to be, the Giants almost beat us this year, lets show him who's the boss.

The vasoline will come out in the first quarter, the Giants will squeal in the second quarter and the Pats will coast in the last half.

It's been a long time since I watched a full NFL game and I really enjoyed the GB and NY Giants game. I missed the OT though because of some commitments.

I was cheering for the Packers and was dissapointed at the outcome. I think the reason for the Packers lost was the blown opportunities, bad penalties and bad coaching decision. Of course I am not saying the Giants deserves the win.

Late in the game (4th quarter), the score was tied 20-20. NY Giants fumbled the ball and two Packers players could have it. The first guy missed it because he was trying to pick up the ball hoping for a TD perhaps. That late of the game, the guy could have drop down on the ball and not trying to scoop it up. The ball went to the other Packers player and he too mishandled the ball. The Giants recovered the ball. I believed the ball was on Packers field goal range at that time.

Bad penalties: One Giants TD drive was helped by 5 bad penalties. Players too anxious to jump on the play. One player was too stupid to avoid Eli Manning after the throw.

Bad coaching decision: In the first half alone, Burress was killing the Packers DB one-on-one. Would it be a problem if he give the guy some help? Offense play: Favre was so successful with throwing the ball within 10 yards during the season, so why are they trying to throw long balls this time?

Anyways, it's too bad I won't be seeing a Classic Superbowl between an undefeated New England Patriots and Green Bay Packers. Mind you, the Giants were the ones that usually gives the Patriots a hard time this season so it might be an interesting Super Bowl if the Giants play the way they've been playing this playoff. I have to cheer for the Patriots to go for 19-0 this season.

every GB game i watch Harris seems to get lit up. Tonight was no exception, how the guy is going to the pro bowl is beyond me, Burress made him look like a chump.

The NFC game will go down in history as an NFL classic. I can't believe the toughness of the players on both teams. The weather was colder than it is here this morning. I wouldn't go outside sleeveless for 30 seconds in this weather. Yet those players were outside for hours in that cold. Unbelievable! My question is how that kind of thing would affect the health of the players most importantly the Giants who have another tough game ahead of them? Wouldn't being exposed to that kind of weather while physically exerting yourself be really hard on the immune system?

Eli showed a tonne of courage in that game. I for one think he has emerged from under his brothers shadow. He accomplished one thing that his brother has never been able to do. Go on the road in adverse conditions and pull off a win in the playoffs. Giants fans should be awfully proud of his play in the post season.

Plaxico Burris also came up huge. When they showed him shivering on the bench before kickoff and Pam Oliver said that Plaxico told her that he couldn't feel his fingers before the game. I thought he was going to be a non factor. He came up big with some amazing catches. What a performance.

What is the nickname for that game going to be?

the temperature was similar in Foxboro as well, 4 teams were in some seriously nasty weather yesterday. I think they're all nuts for going sleevless out there (and I'm a guy who rides his bike to work in weather like this).

Similar? The temperature in Foxboro was 23 Fahrenheit with a windchill of 13 degrees. The temperature in Green Bay was minus 5 with a windchill of minus 24. Foxboro was like a walk on the beach compared to Green Bay.

meh, they kept saying on the broadcast that it was 0F in Foxboro. Still pretty damn cold for playing outside in shirt sleeves.

No doubt. I woudn't go outside in short sleeves in 33 degree weather. I got the Foxboro weather info from the NFL recap, if that means anything.
