My first shift starts at 6am, so 5am on that day, between 7am and 8am on the others due to my two kids, 2 years old and 7 months old.
They have severely curtailed my binge drinking, some would say that's a good thing.

Weekdays I'm up around 7:45ish and out the door to advance my learning by 8:20
Weekends I'm up no later than 8:30...unless I was up till 3 or 4...then it's about 9. I've never understood the greatness of sleeping in till noon...it's a complete and utter waste of a day. One of my friends once slept for 17 hours. 17! I don't know if that's sleeping or a coma...

My body doesn't allow me to sleep past 9. I'm usually awake by 8.

I slep close to that once, when I was working either midnight - 8:30 or 3:30 am - noon. there was always OT available and by the end of the week you could get pretty bagged especially when the flames played. went to bed at 11am woke up 1:30 am longest I have and ever will sleep I know for sure.

I guess it would depend on what time you go to bed at. I enjoy sleeping in past noon because I don't like to go to bed until 3-4am. If I end up only sleeping 8 hours I am not sure how it is a wasted day.
Theres not much worth doing before noon anyways and I get a lot more stuff done at night than I do in the morning. Now that I have to get up I find I spend the morning trying to kill time more than anything and rarely get stuff done.

Sgt Bilko always managed to sleep in. You should emulate him.

My girlfriend and I both work nights, so...
Somewhere around 4pm when the dog starts whining for her food.
I love night shift. I go in at 10, get off at 6am. So I work when most people are sleeping, then I sleep when most people are working. But I also have the option of doing whatever I want during daytime hours by altering my sleep schedule a bit. Saves on days off. As far as weekends, like someone said before, nothing really happens before noon anyway.

On the road about 7:45-7:50 to arrive at the office 8:00 or shortly after.
