They got anything going on there for NYE? Only a short stumble from the Dome, it would be very convenient.

Walter! That guy hated me. Ever since we discovered the secret back door to the den that came out into the DJ booth.

I should add that last night the hiballs were $2.25 all night and there are so many bars there that I didn't have to line up once. It was great. $5 cover last night. I have no idea about NYE.

Knucklehead is playing there on NYE as well as DJs High & I and John Delirious in the other rooms.
Should be a wicked show. Cheap, too, $10 in advance, $15 at the door.
And like you say, stumbling distance from the 'dome.

I'm with you, Fotze. When I came back from vacation in Germany a couple of years ago, I went on a search for a German pub here in town. Closest thing we have is the German Club or Austrian Club. Both places are OK for lunch, but suck as pubs. We work close by the Austrian club and decided to have 20 of us drop in after a meeting - and this was during Oktoberfest - and they had a guy playing freaking bagpipes in there. Totally messed up.
So who here knows anything about running a pub? I think this would be a great idea....

I just got an e-mail from Walter the DJ saying that he will now be the regular Friday night DJ at the Republik. He's great.

Its my friends birthday and we might go to the Republik on Saturday night but we are not sure where it is. Someone posted it was on the 300 block of 17th Ave. Is that SW? Anyone know the exact address?

It's the old Victoria's, the old Detour. It's effing gigantic and there are a bunch of different rooms so be prepared to wander around in the dark trying to find the people you are meeting. Or take cell phone. Maybe a sign.
