Yeah, you know what you discover when you have a lot of Halloween candy left over?

Halloween candy isn't very good.

Part of the reason for the big decline seems to be that all the kids head to the mall now. No one used to do that even 10 years ago when i was still making the rounds.

the GF was there around 6 and apparently it was PACKED.

0 trick or treaters were detected in my neighbourhood in Sydney. I wasn't home most of the evening although I did pass by my house on the Haunted Walk I was on.

Weak Halloween in this neck of the woods. I only had about 12. I guess that means more for me, but I'm not sure if that's such a good thing!

That idea isn't half bad.

Okay, I'll admit it. I bought candies that I love...the Maynards stuff. You can never have enough Swedish Berries or Sour Patch kids.

Too bad they didn't make them in mango flavour!

I'll consider fotze's idea too....

100 plus here in Mckenzie Towne. My kid commented that it looked like McKenzie City (3 years old) tonight. Way up from last year (maybe 40ish). So if you're wondering where all the kids are, I found them here.

Rule #1. Never buy candies you like.

Rule #2. You have to share with posters who like said candies

That's so fataing lame - the death of a great halloween tradition. The stores give out one halloween sized candy per head - how's a kid supposed to stockpile for 2 months? Tonight was a warm night so there's no excuses for that. I'm not sure if that's from lazy or nervous nellie parents watching too much Dateline?

The vigilante in me wants to egg the million dollar homes in my neighborhood that are faking not being home.

Actually it was pretty easy. Trace the "C" on with a Sharpie. 1 really sharp steak knife. Biggest thing is to plan your cuts so you don't put too much stress on the center bit that makes it a "C" vs an "O", and the individual Flames on the left. Took about 20 minutes.

Nah. That was a Peanuts reference. The kid in a continual state of depression singled out for scorn.

Don't they show It's The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown special anymore?

We had between 150 and 175 in Taradale. The wife made 125 bags, handed all those out then used up all the reserve loose candy.
