I have just returned from Oa and the Guardians have informed me this risk is incredibly minor and all will be ok. If anything does happen, Kilowog has been assigned to back up the Earth Lanterns in controlling said black hole(s). Fear not civilians and go about your everyday lives.

Wow, that thing is wild. Cool pictures indeed. Love the most recent comment at the bottom too:
This thing is going to kill us all.
Guess we'll find out soon enough.

That thing looks cheaper
I actually got to watch a program on this, I think it was called Science Nova Now or something along those lines. Its pretty amazing people even think this stuff up and spend this kind of money on trying to prove something.

In any case if Michio Kaku says it's okay then it's okay with me. I drink his Kool-Aid on a regular basis.

I'm not too concerned right now that there is a "slight" chance that it could create a black hole.
But you have to wonder that if there is a "chance", that one day in the future, someone might figure out ways to increase that chance on purpose.

It's called NOVA scienceNOW with Dr. Neil deGrasse Tyson. Outstanding show.
Maybe I'm biased, but I would think that the LHC is the greatest feat of human thought, creativity and engineering ever.

He's awesome, and of course Nova Science now is an excellent weekly show on PBS, amongst the many science shows they have.
