In the future I would hope that being abused is thought of as a terrible wrong, but the ability to help the victim is so great that the downside of the abuse is almost zero. At that point would killing the abuser be justified? Because the difference between then and now is only a matter of our ability to heal the mind.
Ok, I see what you are saying about homosexuality, but it still has zero relevence whatsoever to what is being discussed. Pedophelia is wrong right now, and will always be considered wrong in the future. You already pointed out the reasons why.

He is also saying that it is mental issue. Something where the person is hardwired to feel. Just like how homosexuals are. There body makes them attracted to members of their own sex. They do not choose that. Just as pedophiles do not choose to be attracted to little kids. There is a big comparision there.

True, though that really wasn't the point I was getting to.

And of course while homosexuality can be expressed with a consenting partner, pedophelia can't because children aren't able to give consent.

Of course, I'm just concerned about other things that we may think of as wrong now and think will always be considered wrong and kill the perps, but later find out that it isn't wrong, or isn't as wrong as we once thought.

What if in the future we find that pedophilia is caused by a viral infection in the brain? Or something else that becomes easily cured? That's why I don't support the idea of killing them all. Jail for life, fine. Treatment that removes all sex drive? Gut feeling is it would be a consent thing (many probably would), but sure. Just an example, hypothetical situations can be useful in testing the boundaries and limitations of things.
