Damn you Dell!
OK Photon- please tell me why I shouldn't buy that TV.

Ya Photon, I could use some discouraging as well...

Not as much. The difference between HD and regular digital is night and day.
Me, I got the HD box a year prior to getting an HDTV, and I found a significant picture quality increase by watching an HD channel on my SD TV.

Someone please take my credit card away from me... this tv is too tempting.
On a side note, that UPS I ordered on the 20th was picked up by Purolator on the evening of the 20th. The next morning (21st) they attempted delivery and I wasn't home. They called me at 7pm and said I could pick it up. The best part? My order status still isn't on the Dell page and my credit card hasn't been billed. Imagine... shipping faster than billing.

720p is fine depending on how far away you are from the TV too.

Thank God! But on the other hand... I feel like I missed out on a great deal. Now I feel regret. Anyone else have non-buyers remorse? What are the stages I can expect?

I am in the exact same boat as you. I had the Dell page up since this morning tempting me and now that I can't in fact buy it...I want it even more.

what is bon-buyers remorse?
I have buyers hesitation, where if it costs more than $50, I have to check out all of the reviews and epinions i can find. I jumped on the TV, fairly quickly for me, only read 5 pages at avsforums, and a couple at egghead. It beings sold out i'm glad I did because I would have buyers hesitation remorse. Oh wait, I think I figured it out, maybe that "b" should have been an "n" in "bon"
I wonder how many they sold to be sold out.

Those deals often sell out.
I for one am quite please that it sold out. Saves me having to hold off. But apparently of the 3 people I sent the link to; it resulted in about 6 sales by them sending it on.
Bingo, you should expect your commision cheque from Dell shortly.

Sometimes I get bon-bon buyer's remorse, which is when I buy a lot of candy at lunch, eat it, and get a tummy ache for the rest of the afternoon.

I find this chart to be a pretty good guideline. But, I am very picky, and have good eyes, so I tend to notice the difference in just slightly less distance than it suggests.

For all of us (thats right, I had the page opened since the morning too...) that hesitated, I found this...
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16889234005
Only $100 more then the dell deal....
Thought I would make the rest of the day move just as slow....

Ya I guess...even though the CDN $ is pretty close to par, its still a $50 diff over the whole $800...so total is $850. And I didnt know newegg didnt ship to Canada. PFt there goes that idea.

I wouldn't have bought it at $850.
(Which is easy to say seeing as I also didn't buy it at $700 )
