What was the pub at the Highlander called again? Oh man that place was seedy. Seedy good!

Republik, Yucatans and the The Den were the establishments I frequented most. $5 jugs of kokanee at the den? I always loved when they asked how many glasses you wanted and you replied, I don't need a glass. Grabbed the pitcher and drank from that.

there was a place downtown, on 12th if I remember correctly called Ahhhs! or Oz! cant remember the spelling. it was a multi-level dance club with clear dance floors, where you could look up and down while dancing

place that I use to hang out at was Glenn's on Memorial Drive and 52nd Street

what was that place called in the Marlborough Inn. was a 50's style dance place?????

and then there was the ever popular Pied Pickle!

A good club that arguably played the best techno music in Calgary was Detours, it's now gone though.

Has the Rattlesnake been mentioned? Which has been the Keg on Macleod Trail for around 10 years now.

What was the name of the bar on the SE corner of Macleod Trail and Southland Drive?

Bourbon Street was another on first.

Surprised no one has mentioned the Night Gallery.

317's or something like that, wasn't it? Quite a dump indeed.

Still no mention of Sir Daffy's?

For the more obscure, anyone remember Flipside?

I'm going to say the Crowchild Inn. I know it's still open, however last time I was there about a month or two ago the management told me it is closing down because they're building a condo complex there.

That was called Club X, I think before it closed down. Crappy, seedy, and a local hangout for the nightstaff lads at Safeway!

The Forest Lawn Hotel ... aka The Armpit. Now there was an interesting place. Ugh! Also the T&C at 17th and 52nd NE ... I haven't been by there for years. Is it still going? My favourite of all time was the King Eddy. Loved that place.

Backstreet Lounge in Smugglers Inn.

Live music 6 days a week, the best happy hour ever (EVERYTHING was 1/2 price).

I lived there for about 10 years.
