Yes. If you're both clean, (and really do go get checked, you never know,) the pill by itself is usually only 97% effective. So for every 100x you have sex, you'll end up with three kids. (Actually, that's for every 100 couple who practise this method of birth control. But they have to give this stat or they'd face lawsuits. Realistically you're probably safer than that.)

I believe that 3% margin of error is based on human error (not taking it), or a freak occurence of another pharmaceutical cancelling out the effects,

I know. That's why I said realistically it's not as bad as that. I suppose I should've qualified that by saying "as long as you're not a dummy."
