The disco ball is being installed over his grave right now, the laquered hardwood floor is being installed on thursday and the smoke machine and laser-light show are being shipped as we speak. Tickets for the dance go on sale this weekend, be sure to get yours.

Oh, and dont be afraid to think for yourself at any time and not just tow the politically correct, uber-safe, social line.

Technically there is more Christians than any other religion, but it also depends how you classify "Christian". A lot of the so called Christians are not recognized by other Christians as such, namely Mormons and Jevoha's Witness. But even if you don't count that, I believe they are still larger than any other religion.

And true to form, Fred Phelps and Westboro Baptist Church are planning to picket this funeral.

NEWS RELEASE
WBC to picket the funeral of Rev. Jerry Falwell - at
Thomas Road Baptist Church, Lynchburg, Virginia -
in religious protest and warning: "God is not
mocked!,, Gal. 6:7. God Hates Fags! & Fag-Enablers!
Ergo, God hates Jerry Falwell, Billy Graham, Pat
Robertson, and all such Arminian heretic preachers -
from fundamentalist evangelicals to openly gay
Episcopalians and pedophile Catholics - all of whom
have created the Satanic Sodomite Zeitgeist wherein
America has irreversibly gone the way of Sodom.
There is little doubt that Falwell split Hell wide open
the instant he died. The evidence is compelling,
overwhelming, and irrefragable. To wit:
1 Falwell was a true Calvinistic Baptist when he
was a young preacher in Springfield, Missouri; and
sold his soul to Free-Willism (Arminianism) for lucre.
2. Falwell bitterly and viciously attacked WBC
because of WBC9s faithful Bible preaching - thereby
committing the unpardonable sin - otherwise known
as the sin gainst the Holy Ghost.
3. Falwell warmly praised Christ-rejecting Jews,
pedophile-condoning Catholics, money-grubbing
compromisers, practicing fags like Mel White, and
backsliders like Billy Graham and Robert Schuler,
Etc. All for lucre - making him guilty of their sins.

Is it wrong to say I hope someone arranges Fred Phelps' funeral?

Hypocrit? I hardly think so.
Let see if we can figure things out here. Did Farwell do something so incredibly stupid to end his life....ummm....like give those Elephants a hug and then get trampled to death? No.
Now I pointed out the sheer stupidity those safari people's actions were and how they lead to an obvious dangerous situation and their death. It was their own fault. Definite Darwin Award winners!
I hardly mocked their passing. No jokes about a long safari to hell. Meeting huggable elephants up in heaven, etc....
People didn't like what Falwell was or what he stood for and since he is dead they are piling on. It is sad. Almost as sad as that offensive Rabies thread.
Now Falwell's opinions and such are certainly up for criticism. He was certainly very impressed by his own BS.

I'm sorry, but people as ridiculous as Falwell are open targets to public jeers and criticism even post mortem. It's not even that people disagree with the man's opinion's, it's just that those opinions are so outrageously wrong that all you can do is make fun of him and his ideas.
People like the croc hunter at least die doing something they love. A Darwin Award candidate? most likely. But at least he wasn't contaminating the world with ludicrous and dangerous ideas.

Congratulations on justifying your idiotic stance. I'm sure everyone here will agree that Darwin Award Winner nominations have nothing to do with mockery . I mean, if I bestow the award for your death, I'm praising you for a fine life you lead. Yeah, that's it.
So these people obviously weren't smart in the choices they made, but nevertheless, they're DEAD. Stupid reason or not, they are dead. However, you seem to be fine with creating a thread showcasing their stupidity by reminding us that they are darwin worthy. So that's not mockery? Oh ok.
On the rabies thread, I believe I have already apologized for it and admitted it was in bad taste. I did not justify it like you are justifying your elephant thread.

Not after I set up the dance floor! Maybe after they're all done washing down his about-damn-time demise with a truckload of booze they can all piss on his grave.
Hoz, I'm sorry I cant speak for your reputation on CP as I havent been here all that long, I just have to call them as I see them.
Locke.
BTW, God Caption Contest....

This is one conversation I LOVE! It's too bad this isn't the time or place for it.
Anyhew, to the topic at hand. There are some people who get it, and some people who don't. He was one that didn't and it's most unfortunate that he influenced so many others... It's a good thing he's gone so he can't influence any more.

Liberty University student bomb plot thwarted ( link):
Quote:
The student, 19-year-old Mark D. Uhl of Amissville, Va., reportedly told authorities that he was making the bombs to stop protesters from disrupting the funeral service. The devices were made of a combination of gasoline and detergent, a law enforcement official told ABC News' Pierre Thomas.

New Rule: Death isn't always sad. [photo of Jerry Falwell shown] This week, the Reverend Jerry Falwell died, and millions of Americans asked, "Why? Why, God? Why didn't you take Pat Robertson with him?!" I don't want to -- I don't want to say Jerry was disliked by the gay community, but, tonight, in New York City, at exactly 8:00, Broadway theaters along the Great White Way, for two minutes, turned their lights up.
Now, I know you're not supposed to speak ill of the dead, but I think we can make an exception, because speaking ill of the dead was kind of Jerry Falwell's hobby. He was the guy who said AIDS was God's punishment for homosexuality, and that 9/11 was brought on by pagans, abortionists, feminists, gays and the ACLU. Or as I like to call them, "my studio audience."
But, I found it surreal this week watching people on the news praise Falwell, followed by a clip package of what he actually said. Things like, "Homosexuals are part of a vile and satanic system that will be utterly annihilated." "If you're not a born again Christian, you're a failure as a human being." "Feminists just need a man around the house." "There is no separation of church and state." And of course, everyone's favorite, "The purple Teletubby is gay."

I like Bill Maher. But.
I don't know though...no matter what viewpoint ANYONE had in life, I will never applaud his death.
