Although who really cares if your a Suns fan, losing your all star inside man to a role player is a pretty crappy trade off.
Suns did prove they could win last year without Amare, hopefully they won't have too. The Spurs disgust me, Bowen is easily the dirtiest player in the game. How he acts on the floor is a freaking joke.
Nash's interview last night with TNT was awsome "I've been working on the guns".

Bowen is brutal - he's just fithly.
The problem with Amare getting suspended is then Boris Diaw must be suspended under the same rules. He left the bench as well. A Diaw-Horry or Amare-Horry trade off is bad for the Suns... but if it's Diaw AND Amare and Horry. Wow.
I dont know how the NBA suspends Horry without suspending at least Diaw, under the black letter of the rules. Therefore, I think the NBA will avoid this quagmire and just fine Horry and Diaw and let Amare off because he "was going to check in".

No word yet on the PHX/SA suspension situation, but in the other West series, Baron Davis will not be suspended for his hard foul on Derek Fisher late in Game 4. Seems fair, and if GS didn't have him tonight they'd be toast.

Amare, Diaw and Horry all suspended for 1 game. This REALLY hurts the Suns.

The suns have a right to be pissed. Amare stepped on the court for a few seconds and had nothing to do with the fight itself. It's a freaking joke that there rewarding Horry's hit on Nash. Wake up Stern! Bowen has the reputation of the dirtiest player in the game, yet a knee to Nash's groin lands him next to nothing. Baron Davis nearly takes a guys head off and he doesen't get a single game?
Kurt Thomas is gonna have to step up tommorow night and so is the Suns bench. Hopefulyl Jalen Rose has some magic left in him and the Suns can use this as motivation

If youll notice in the replays, Duncan left the bench too... but didnt get punished. Duncan is one of Stern's babies. I hate the Spurs - I hope that the Suns stomp them.

I agree to a point but your rewarding the actions of Horry. Amare did absolutley nothing to further the "brawl" going on, just like Duncan just stood there on the court before. Sometimes I think you have to make a freaking expectation here and there, when arguablly the best player in the game gets nailed into the scorers table. Especially after Bowen was not suspended for his knee to Nash the game before. A man that is a repeat offender and known around the league as the dirtiest player.

That's what pisses me off - Duncan should have been suspended for coming off the bench too, yet nothing....
CONSPIRACY!!!!
I hope the Suns pull it together and stomp the Spurs, can anyone imagine how boring a Utah/San Antonio series will be???
Pick and roll - shot
Pick and roll - shot
Pick and roll - shot

I dont really like the idea of conspiracies in sports because I think the word is thrown around too much. BUT, the NBA has a track record of suspicious behavior which includes this type of crap. They market Duncan who is supposed to be "one of the good guys in the league"... Stern threw the book at that ref for his confrontation with Duncan. For the NBA not to even fine Duncan is really suspicious...
Another NBA conspiracy (I wonder if the same thing wasnt done for the Pens and Crosby):
The frozen Knicks draft card - the Knicks were struggling and Stern wanted the NBA to be big again in NYC. Conveniently the Knicks got the franchise center in the next draft (Ewing) and apparently the Knicks' draft card was frozen prior to the draft to allow Stern to feel which one was the Knicks and avoid it until the #1 pick came up... hence ping pong balls.

Stern had an interview today which espn insiders can get, man did he ever act like a jerk in it. If Bettman ever answered questions the way he did on CBC he'd be gone. Stern once again bullied the person asking him questions and was really opinonated for a commish.
Hopefully the suns can come together and use this as a positive. They usually only play 7 guys so it's defintley a big loss to there depth. Hopefully Rose has one more good game left in his career, and with the real MVP of the league and Marion, anything can happen.
Hopefully Vince plays his last game this year and adds to his playoff legacy of choking

Good start by the Suns, I really hope they take this game. Amare and Diaw getting suspended was bogus considering they let Duncan go.

Good 1st half by the Suns, Spurs are gettting there legs though, watch out in the 2nd half. If Thomas can keep his energy up and guard Duncan like he has been then the Suns have a very good chance

Suns up at half - playing well. Spurs playing like crap.
Suns have a good shot at winning this game, which would be a miracle.
If they lose however, and I'm Pat Burke, I ask to go onto the court with 45 seconds left and pull a Noodles. I'd also go so far as to start a scrap with their bench so all the s get caught in this rule.
Stern set the table, now Phoneix deserves to eat at it. you Stern, you greasy Duncanite.

well the stupid suspensions can't be a conspiracy, nobody could say with a straight face that after this series the Spurs would draw better than the Suns.
However I hope the sport gods have taken note and give game 5 to the Suns, they deserve it. And while the sport gods are at it, they should kick Stern in the nads.

Phoenix didn't make their shots coming down the stretch and ultimately that's why they lost tonight.
That said, those suspensions were BS IMO and they were a big factor in the loss tonight. The suns ran out of gas in the last five minutes and it showed.
Hopefully the Suns can take this in 7.
