The system compliments an XBox 360 perfectly though IMO. Get a Wii60!
Have to agree with this. I have a Wii60 and it really is the best of both worlds. If you have the money this is the way to go.

As for games:

Xbox360:

Gears of War
Rainbow Six Vegas
Oblivion

Wii:
Zelda
Rayman is ridiculously funny

Add 'Crackdown' for Xbox 360 to that list. It's the most fun I've had playing a game in years.

I am very happy with my 360.

Very little has been said about the 360's multimedia functions and xbox live. Both of theme are really, really excellent.

I would also stongly recommend you either buy an extended warranty, or get it at Costco as the 360 does have overheating issues.

How is mp3 streaming? I have all my music on my laptop and want to be able to setup a 360 to my stereo to access my music.

I doubt it, poor sales scare developers away. Ask Gamecube.

Poor sales? You can't buy a PS3 if there are none out there right now.

PS has had the market cornered the last 2 console generations with 1 and 2. I think developers will give them the benefit of the doubt.

Certain developers have already said PS3 is a nightmare to develop on and badly implemented but there will definetely be a good share of games. I think every system will have it's own niche.

If horrific manufacturing issues allow you to only manufacture 25% or so of your initial projections and even that limited number does not sell out, is the product somehow a hot commodity?

It works perfectly...IF your laptop has Windows XP Media Center Edition or Vista Home (any version but Basic, I think). There is a utility that Microsoft put out to connect your non media center XP, but I couldn't get it to work.

I use it all the time with my Ipod. Just plug it in and it works. That simple. You can also burn mp3's to a cd or dvd, and it will play them from there.

Windows Media Connect. I have XP Pro and it works most of the time. Sometimes it doesnt and you either need to restart your 360 or hit the disconnect button on Windows Media Connect and then hit connect to get it to to work right. I'm also just using a cable to connect my computer to it since I didnt want to spend $120 on a wireless adapter so I'm not sure if using the wireless adapter would work any better.
