Great win by the Colts. I cant believe how good there defence looked in the playoffs, what a turnaround from the regular season.

But holy cow batman show some emotion, you just won the freaking SUPER BOWL. Just seemed really subdued.

Well I predicted the number of points the Colts would score correctly.....was off on the Bears though. I guess probably because they only kicked the kick off to him once.

No kidding.

I would screaming, yelling and jumping for joy if I had just won the superbowl.

I am glad the Colts won - now folks can get off of the Payton Manning cannot get it done kick.

Good game for the Colts. Congrats.

Good on the Colts. They have been consistently excellent for years. The Bears on the other hand are a two trick pony - defence and Hester. Grossman was craptacular. CHI will get a more difficult schedule next year and crash back down to earth.

Theres no such thing as a difficult schedule when you play in the NFC North. They'll have the same schedule as last year playing pretty much the same teams they played this year except they'll play the AFC West who aren't much different than the AFC East.

Exactly four games they should win easily against Green Bay and Detroit and two more games that should be basically just as easy especially if the Vikings go with Jackson as their QB. Thats six wins before you even have to play a game.

Dominance by the Colts. Full value for the win.

Also, nice to see the game won on the field by the players. Unlike last year's disgrace, the reffing was non exsistent as a factor in the game, and refs are to be commended for that.

Satisfying to see the Bears exposed for only being the good, not great team, they are. Really should've been 10-6, 9-7 at most, if not teams like the Cardinals handing them the game, and having Grossman do nothing but have special teams and defense wn them a couple more games. They were very fortunate to get past the Seahawks 3 weeks ago, and used up all their karma in that game.

Next year they should come crashing down to earth, something like the Steelers of last year. From having the second easiest schedule this year, to a lot tougher 1st place schedule.

They had a first place schedule this year. But when 12 of your games are against the NFC and 6 of them are against their division any schedule is easy any way you dice it. The NFL has done a reversal of fortune where for years the NFC had the best teams and owned the Superbowl. Ever since the Bronco's broke the trend in 98 only 2 NFC teams have won the last 10 Superbowls. And it will be the AFC who has the NFL's best team again next year too.

True..but here's they lineup of teams next season:

Home
  1. Detroit Lions
  2. Green Bay Packers
  3. Minnesota Vikings
  4. Dallas Cowboys
  5. New York Giants
  6. Denver Broncos
  7. Kansas City Chiefs
  8. New Orleans Saints
Away
  1. Detroit Lions
  2. Green Bay Packers
  3. Minnesota Vikings
  4. Philadelphia Eagles
  5. Washington Redskins
  6. Oakland Raiders
  7. San Diego Chargers
  8. Seattle Seahawks
This is a tougher lineup they the had this year (SEA/BUF/SF/JETS/GIANTS/MIA/MIA/NE/ST.L/TB). I can see 5 or 6 losses just outside of the division, that I've put in bold.

Whatever, I think the Bears got very lucky in some games this year in the regular season, and against SEA to a lesser extent 3 weeks ago.
A couple reg season losses more losses, and them then having to play an extra playoff game and/or travel, and I don't thiey would've been playing today.

I don't see that same Cinderella run next year, and I don't think Chicago fans will give Grossman that long of a leash if his hot and cold routine continues early next year either.

i'm still in shock, finally everyone can shut up about peyton. he won the big won and he just dominated that bears defense. Where does he now rank in terms of all time qb's? with that -ring of his now i don't see how he can't be considered to be just as good as #1?

Jason Smith on ESPN last night was bang on with assessment. With one ring he elevates himself to the "Steve Young" level - but in order to reach the Montana/Brady/Elway class - you need multiple rings.

A lot of fun to watch this in a bar. One group of peopel cheering when Hestor runs it back, a totally different group when Colts make a play. Stunned murmering when Vinateri misses.
Manning only made one mistake (the INT), their offense wore down the Bears D and Grossman couldn't move the ball long enough to let his D catch their breath.

I think his emotion while accepting the trophy was a big F-U to those who thought he couldn't win the big game. He won it, and won the MVP to boot. Where's the ammo for the ney-sayers now?

I do agree he steped out of Marino-land, and now resides in Young-Ville. But he needs a few more keys to the city to enter Montana/Elway Estates.

Great game regardless. Good on the Colts for finally putting that stamp on their team that they've missed in their 'window' for the last 3 years. Wonder what Edge thinks about this?
