Best show on TV. I can't wait to see "The others" get the big shaft one of these days. I have a feeling Sawyer has some sort of con planned.

This episode was the first time I've watched this series on television. Prior to this, it was all DVD, and I think I'm going to stick with DVD or my new favorite thing in the world, bittorrent. The commercials just ruin too much flow.

WHY!!!!!!In god's good name, why did they just kill off Eko? Boone sure who cares, Shannon, big whoop, Anna Lucia, didn't like her anyway. Libby, sure Hurley might have gotten some but not a big deal, but Eko? I love this show but some thing just make me shake my head. Oh and Jack is getting played huge by both sides of the others. Juliet is no better than Ben, theyre both not right. BTW who thinks that the guy they saw on the tv in the pearl hatch, is controling the smoke monster

OK, I guess most should have seen it or be watching it.

Who was they eye in the monitor?
Which Juliet do you trust; is the video she played for real?
So, why were those other 2 survivors just introduced in the last couple episodes. That seemed kind of weird.

I think the video she played was real, however her motives aren't clear.

She could be the whole mastermind behind whatever is happening, and wants Ben out of the way for some reason. Who knows? She could be the bad one.

Its strange they bring 2 new characters into the show, when they already have too many to focus on.

They need to add people at the camp because I mean who's left? They have to split between 2 camps now and really needed a female lead on the beach...so introduce the new girl.

Dude with the eye patch looks freaaaaaky. And I'm with Jiggy...the cideo is real, but her motives are probably evil. Next week looks un-real, but I guess they have to make it goo because the show is leaving for what...7 weeks was it?

they're kind of on an island...new characters are hard to come by.

and wow what an episode, sure made my night after the game blew flamming chunks.

My guess was the video was actually arranged by Ben, and he is wanting to see if Jack has any evil within him before he lets him operate.

As for the 2 "new" people on the beach; they have been around before. In season 2 when the "cool people" were heading off to do something the guy had asked why they were never informed of what was going on.

I feel sorry for anybody who stopped watching last year because it was moving too slow. Every week it seems to just get better and better.

The whole opening up of the plot line with more of the "others" is brillant. I'm sad to see Eko go cause I really liked his character but who is "next".

Are they all going to end up dead?

Last night's episode was CRAZY.....Sad to see Eko go, he was a good character.

So is that smoke machine some kind of shape shifter that can turn into likenesses of people? I was thinking that maybe when Eko was seeing his brother it was actually the smoke machine that has made itself look like his brother.

Remember last season when Eko was face to face with the smoke and you could see all those pictures of Eko's past in it? Maybe the smoke reads people thoughts, dreams, or deepest issues and then becomes something from those thoughts. That might be why Jack saw his Dad on the Island, why Kate saw that horse on the Island, and various other supposedly impossible sightings. Perhaps the smoke is appearing to these people as some of their deepest issues.

From one crazy theory to another....

The smoke machine also seems like some kind of final judgement. When Eko was face to face with the smoke previously nothing happened to him. Now that he has come to terms with his brothers death, killing those other people in the church, and finally built the church that he owed his brother, the smoke decides that it is time for Eko to die. Maybe the smoke decided Eko was not truly repentant for his sins (which he wasn't) and he wasn't a good person so he had to die. Perhaps all the rest of the Islanders are not truly good people so they are going to die as well. Maybe as the show goes on they are all going to come to terms with the major issues they all have in their lives.

Who knows.....

Any other theories?

The cop? No wasn't Ethan. Looked like him though.

We have to wait so long because it takes forever to film this show. Last year, the day they were airing the second to last episode, they were still shooting the finale and finished editing it broadcast day. Now, when it starts up again there will be no repeats until the end rather than 12 minibreaks all season long.
