Regarding Mark Hunt, I’m not a supporter of him for sure… he’s just not my type of fighter as I’m with you on the Shogun mold.. now that’s a fighter. But Hunt did upset Mirko Filipovic and and he was the first person to defeat Silva after 4-5 year stretch (forget the record of hand)… plus his record gives him fights against a more impressive field and his two losses are not against any fall downs either.
Hunt
Wins: Tsuyoshi Kohsaka, Yosuke Nishijima, Mirko Filipovic, Wanderlei Silva, Dan Bobish
Losses: Josh Barnett, Hidehiko Yoshida
Vera
Frank Mir, Assuerio Silva, Justin Eilers, Fabiano Scherner, Mike Whitehead, Andre Mussi, Don Richard, Adam Rivera
Could Vera beat Hunt? I sure hope so because like I said above I’m not a Hunt supporter.. either or, it doesn’t matter anyways because I’m pretty sure Hunt can’t fight in the US so it’s pretty much of a meaningless point regardless.
Regarding HitterD question
Sorry, I’m pretty sure Pride fights are shown on FSN in the US as for here you’ll have to do it the DVD, PPV way for now.
As for Silva/Liddell… Not going to happen until Dana removes the roadblock and he doesn’t want anything to do with it as long as Silva is signed with Pride. It’s very similar I guess you can say with what Dana did to Nick Diaz in the last PPV. Diaz has signed with another promoter (not sure how long) but the last PPV had Diaz on the card in his home town but Diaz’s fight wasn’t going to be shown on the PPV because (I am assuming) Dana doesn’t want to promote another promoters fighter. He should be back though as Nick has been very loyal to the UFC but like any young fighter he needs money as well.
