You have to admit, there would be no flame war if Cheese didn't call him a moron in the THIRD post.

I don't mind the anti religious stuff, but name calling is not necessary.

Are you serious? In this thread alone we've seen these gems from you...

"I have nothing better to say to you than...you sir ar a 1st class 100% ass."
"...but thats ok well let you have your toys and you can go play in the corner."
" and once again the Sun shines in with the name Bring Back Shantz....like we care about what you think?"
"Well that was a well thought out response wasnt it? Take ya what? 12 days?"
" wow that was smooooothe BBS...mustve thought that one over for a long time. Maybe you want to expand on your theories a bit so everyone has a chance to understand the inner workings of the wheel that turns in your brain?"
" This coming from a kindergarten teacher? Your responses kill me...really."

And to start it all off...

"Its satire you moron...."

If you don't tend to call people down, then I'm the highest posting member of CP.
I wasnt talking about thios thread...but thanks for pointing that out. Im sure if you read my post youll understand better.,

Honestly, if it wasn't "Giggle of the day" I wouldn't have opened it. I couldn't believe that was the "giggle" hence my post, which wasn't meant to start all of this

I don't open the obvious anti-religion posts anymore as that debate is old and tired for me, so I choose not to take part. It just seems forced in sometimes. I have read funny things that Cheese has posted on other topics, hence me chosing to open this one.

3 pages later... wow.

I will say we don't need to do everything in our power to drive away religious posters on here and make them feel uncomfortable, as I'm sure some of our good hockey minds are religious and we don't even no it, so no need to bash them without even realizing it. Its just as bad as a Christian coming on here and calling out a Jew for being a dumbass for not believing in Jesus, that person believes they are right in what they believe, just as Cheese does. Its much easier to leave everyone to their own.

I just don't like Cheese's anger toward anything to do with god or religion. I was brought up in an atheist family and I don't remember any of this anger except one grandfather who was an Orangeman and didn't like the Catholics. The major teaching I had was that religion was the 'opiate of the people' and religious people were kind of looked on with amusement. A modern educated man can stand on his own two feet without asking for devine help. I still believe this.

I was even sent off to a regular Sunday school with my sister and we found the whole thing pretty boring and kind of insulting too, calling me and everbody a sinner. Later we were sent to a real holy roller church for a while. This wasn't nearly as boring and me and my sister couldn't wait to get home and laugh at the goings on.

Still, this did open my mind to alternate views and though I didn't look to the church to find any answers, I did want to find some meaning in my life. Luckily for me I did find something very satisfying without having to adapt to any ideologies. Glad I was taught to think for myself.
