Just keep in mind that the assesment is for some point in 2005; I don't recall the exact date but I think that came up when we last talked about it.

And Shane, it's good to hear you have several reasons for wanting to buy. It just scares me when people say they want to buy because they don't want to throw money away; when that isn't what you are doing. For me, by renting I found out exactly what I wanted in a house, and when I went house shopping I knew exactly what I was looking for.

Check that, I just got paperwork back from my appraiser, and my tax assessment is $141K lower than the appraisal came through at. Wow.
