Tool - Aenima
As other have said, Tool rules. Each album gets better and better. While my favorite is Lateralus (or maybe 10,000 days), Aenima got me into them and I like every album.

Metallica - Master of Puppets
While Metallica has a lot of great albums (although I'm not a big fan of anything after Load), but this one is easily the best, and what I think of when I think about Metallica.

Radiohead - Kid A
This is the album that made me start listening to music other than hard rock / metal. Unbelievable album and one of my favorite bands.

NIN - The Downward Spiral
I loved this album from the moment I heard it. Have been a NIN fan ever since.
