I bought this album and Kings of leon a week ago, I've listed to Kings of leon several times through and I'm still trying to make it through three songs in a row for GNR. I thought this album would either be a masterpiece, or sound instantly dated and irrelevant due to the length of time recording and Axl's hermit status. So far it's a stinker.

For the record, I was not commenting on Max Power's posting skills... nor anyone else's. I don't quite get the context of the obtuse comment.

I'm not exactly a rocket surgeon myself, and my posting skills leave much to be desired.

You just need to look at what they've done since he left to know who the major part of that band was. His voice is amazing. And I shouldn't even need to defend Axl. He's a great vocal talent that has influenced countless individuals. His songwriting is strong. Long winded, egotistical, overblown songs at times but some amazing music nonetheless.

Let's get down to the point.

Bach: one album and some broadway work.....but was fired...allegedly......oh wait he also has Democracy......yeah that worked!

Axl: I still remember seeing them open for The Cult....so I have been listening for a while......other than the G N R stuff Axl has been invisible for years....13 or so!

There is no way these two can be held up to the likes of Plant, Morrision, Winwood, Jagger, Scott, Bono (not my thing), Downey.....
