Check the car to see if the etching is done already, my salesman tried to sell it to me on the last Mazda we bought and he said it was already done. I asked him why I should pay for it. He went in to the whole theft deterrent thing, blah, blah, blah. So I then asked him how the potential thief who sees the etching (that was already done) is going to know if I paid for it or not. Remember, the etching (if already done) acts as a theft deterrent whether you pay for it or not.
