The craziest bit about Epstein is how the F does he continue to operate the way he does, in the circles he was, after being convicted in 2008? It's a total failure by law enforcement, and society generally.

Yeah for sure it was a joke. I imagine he's had the same lawyer for a long time and they are close. I'd say something like that to my friend too as a joke. But all things considered, yeah just not a good choice of words.

Pretty telling how many people continued, or initiated contact after that. A rational person would see that as toxic as #### and in no way want to be associated. That these people seem almost indifferent to it tells you how much power they figured they had to take that risk. That they didn't see it as risky at all. That's telling about a lot of things.
