It just gets better and better the more you watch it.

Like...at the very end there, that kid gets the puck. Like...WTF are you going to do? I'd wager that this is all 'post-whistle play' so...having the puck? Whats your plan kid?

Now what? Go in for the empty net breakaway while the goalie is feeding your buddy his blocker? Because...one would have to imagine that the whistle has gone and it ain't gonna count no matter what you do.

It’s just so odd that there were no adults on the ice.

All teams dropping these types of things would be an unlikely over reaction.

As a parent and coach who has participated in probably a dozen of these, it’s ultimately a way to sell tickets for these minor league teams. The kids get in for free, but all the parents pay full boat to watch them.

About 15 years ago or so the Aeros had a celebration for Gordie Howe and they wanted a few youth players on the ice. My son got to bump fists with Gordie and say hi as he stood beside him. Thought that was pretty cool for him.

I think this was clearly an oversight there not having an adult out there. For Flames timbits they have the coaches out there skating with them. would have completely been avoided if that was the case here.

Coaches, Arena personnel, Harvey, and IIRC Beasley.

Beasley never leaves the press box.

It would be the in-arena host guy (the yelling powerplay guy everyone hates).

As a coach this made me uneasy. Especially the kid out there with no gloves on laying on the ice with players skating around him.

I thought it was the same guy. Beesley does "Are you ready", for sure. But I guess it's a guy named Grant Buchanan that does the Powerplay stuff.

I have little doubt the coaches had a part in this. Kids don't have the wherewithal to set up a staged brawl.

Coaches are probably dunzo.
