Dear Craig, it's time to give Rory Kerins his due!

Kerins will get his chance especially if we are completely tanking.

Personally I thought he looked pretty good in preseason. There will be injuries we ill see him at some point.

The Flames should be using this season to take on project players EXACTLY like Kerins, and letting them sink or swim in the NHL.

Best case scenario, they become productive NHL players. That’s found money.
Worst case scenario, they contribute more McKenna points.

By the time the Flames are ready to contend, there’s going to be like 3 guys from this roster that are still on the team, so don’t tell me about “culture”. Last years culture didn’t survive the summer, let alone through a complete team overhaul.

Once Kadri is traded it will open a spot for Kerins to prove what he can do, which is probably not that much, but we need to give him a chance either way.

Culture can persist through hanges in personnel. The ets are teaching the kids how to be good pros. Those lessons don't just evaporate.
