You might have been completely right about this. I was thinking we are awful, but we finally played a mid team and completely dominated.
If Wolf continues to stand on his head and we can get a few goals a game, I really don't see us finishing at the bottom of the league now. Unless we make some more trades.

The Rangers are not a mid team, the 32nd overall team just beat the 28th team.
Impossible. They tanked and got a 1OA, 2OA, multiple other first round picks, they have a top 5 winger, a Calder winner, a Vezina winner, the picked up JT Miller and Vinnie Trochek.
Guess they may have to write another letter to the fans.

-Really surprised by how much I liked Frost with Kadri and Huberdeau. They look like 3 guys who think the game similarly
-Sharangovich was engaged and looked pretty determined out there
-Bahl and Andersson were good too and moved the puck well
-Overall Calgary looked a lot like last year with how they were able to break out of their zone with.a Dman joining the rush consistently
-I like Honzek, too bad about that post
-Klapka made some clever plays today

Yup it sucks when you realize your re-build has failed, because the idea of starting over sucks. Though I think it's different in NY as they have the ability to attack a lot of the big names.
But I think that's the reality they are staring at. Despite some big-time advantages (Panarin choosing NY, Fox choosing NY, drafting Shesterkin) it has failed.
The Kings may also be facing the reality of a failed re-build.

Interesting stat I picked up about the rangers, they have lost 5 in a row against teams with losing-streaks of 8 games or more. Last time they beat a team on a losing-streak was 03/02/2021.
