He was under treatment for alcoholism. He also apparently has an extreme phobia of contamination, which is a form of OCD. I used to work with someone like that, and while I felt bad for him, it certainly didn't make him a pleasure to be around. I remember him making a huge display about someone accidentally touching his jacket and threw it in the garbage. I don't know if Ingram's condition is that bad, but it was a apparently a distraction in Utah.

There's no shortage of Connors in the ECHL.

If they call him up they're going to have to call him up from Bakersfield when they're on the road then. No way he gets off the plane that lands in Edmonton (Leduc).

The counterpoint is clearly the 2 guys they have are mediocre, and Ingram is too. If Ingram gets called up, and then they have to decide who to waive to send one back down, it'll either be obvious who to send down and they'll clear because they suck, or they just send Ingram back down and if he gets claimed who cares because you didn't need him anymore anyway.

This trade doesn't change anything for the Oilers at all, just gives them someone waiting in the wings who isn't totally green, IF they have to use him, and IF he actually looks to be playing ok in the minors.

I'm as much an advocate of all things E=NG, but this trade is zero risk for them, and likely doesn't matter at all at the end of the year. It's not a 3 headed monster scenario because Ingram is just the new #3, who'll probably not play an NHL game this season anyway.
How about get a good goalie lol, not 3 bad ones

It's amazing that they continue to piss around with journeyman goalies and 1Bs instead of actually sinking in the money or trade capital to solve their problem once and for all.

Like the Avs said enough's enough last year and replaced their whole tandem with proven upgrades in the span of a week.

Meanwhie the Oilers continue to stumble through more half measures with a guy worth future considerations.

Oilers thinking they have the scouting chops to unearth hidden gems from other teams cupboards is laughable.

Fear of contamination and germs and he’s going to Edmonton? Uh-oh.
