Surprised if Zary doesn't move to #18 he wore in junior with the new contract.
He was on Empty Netters last summer and they asked him about this. He said he probably wouldn't change cause all his friends and family have jerseys with his number now

I don’t mind the forward group after seeing the bottom 6. Like I mentioned earlier in the thread I see the top 9 being put in a blender at times unless some crazy chemistry happens.
Glass half full there is reason for some optimism with this group if you believe a full summer did wonders for the 2 Flyers acquired last year. That Farabee-Frost-Sharangovich line is a true x-factor for this team. These are 3 guys in the 25-28 age range that you hope can have career years upcoming. Are these 3 60pt forwards or are they in the 30-40 range?
You hope the 4 guys 32+ can maintain and the younger guys Zary and Coronato take steps.
This is a tough team to read if I look at it as glass half full I see reason they could be in the mix for the 3rd spot in the Pacific or one of the wildcard spots. I can also see scenarios where this team is near the bottom and we fantasize about McKenna all year.

That potential 4th line of Klapka, Pospisil, and Lomberg looks like a great 4th line on paper, as far as 4th lines doing 4th line things go. The only concern is not having a proven faceoff guy with Pospi not being the best option at center. But in terms of straight "getting guys in the lineup" I like it.
Probably a good guess to the lines. To be honest, I prefer Coronato playing with someone else instead of Kadri. I could be wrong but a I think Coronato’s goal scoring took a bit of a drop playing on a line with Kadri. Which I understand if I’m correct. Kadri tends to hog the puck a bit and prefers to be a shooter rather than setup plays so that might not complement a goal scorer like Coronato.
I would rather Zary be getting a long look at center but I don’t think that’s going to happen. Would also like to see a vet traded because it feels like there is just not enough spots available. Hard for Farabee to have a bounce back year playing on the 4th line. Same thing with Posposil and it’s tough to see if Klapka can develop into an impact complementary middle six forward on the 4th line.
That’s the beauty of the Flames though. We don’t really have a best player or players. You could create numerous iterations of the forward lines and I don’t think it would make any difference.
Was anybody fortunate enough to attend any of the group sessions?
Sounds like Coronato was roofing them like crazy, and the pace was really high.. Wonder how everyone was looking..
