Thought he had the raw ability to top-end player. I do wonder about his personal struggles and hope he can be healthy long-term.

I'm sure he can make a pretty good life for himself playing in Europe if he wants. Best of luck to him.

I would be looking at playing in Sweden for a couple of years if I was Kylington, and then seeing if I could find a spot in the NHL after that. He just needs to play. Way too much time not playing since he was drafted. He needs two really good seasons back-to-back to just try and rebuild his NHL career, or simply stay in Europe.

Can't recall many players coming back to the NHL after a couple years in Europe on the wrong side of 30.

I don’t think he and his agent’s decision would have made a difference. Probably would have ended up the same. He bounced around to a few teams after he left here and nobody kept him.

He ended up with a worse contract and likely less playing time that first year

He would still be under contract. Flames pivoted and gave the contract they were gong to give him to Bean. Instead of 2 years on a PTO, he would be entering his 2nd year of a guaranteed money.

He made some poor choices, his agent didn’t forge his signature, force his hand on the contract, Adults make decisions for themselves. Stop defending the guy. The flames group did everything they could to support him, and this is how he paid them back.

What a petty thing to say.

BTW, Wilder's character was play-acting as a mean bad faith actor, and Wonka was actually the polar opposite of this scene. Wonka would probably classify you as a "bad egg" for the things you just threw out there. Just food for thought if you're going to use that gif in the future.

That’s a meme. A gif is a short looping image that repeats.

And everyone knows the meaning behind the scene, unless you’ve never seen the movie or that scene.

And no, I am correct. Why are you such a loser?

The Flames did support him though. What else could they have done?

Kylington was a great straight line skater and pretty good puck mover.

But could get over powered and had a weird tendency to fall over a lot.

Some of you guys come across like jilted lovers. He had a choice to make and he made it for whatever reason. It was probably the wrong choice but for all we know he wouldn't struggled with the Flames too. I think the only reason people are defending him is because others are attacking him for making a job decision. It's unlikely anyone would be defending Kylington if it wasn't for the drive-by "good riddance" or "that'll learn ya" type of posts.

LMAO at this entire post. Amazing work. I don't think you could have put less thought into this if you tried.

I wish him no ill-will, but I do think he and his agent dun goofed.

That being said, it would simultaneously mean that the Flames dodged a bullet on a potential contract.

Hopefully things go well for him going forward.
