Overall, I don't fault the Rangers at all. They SHOULD be a terrific team now, but they fell apart. Drury has been a terrible GM.

Timing is everything. He's definitely a very weak first overall pick. The year before 1OA was Jack Hughes. Stick Hughes on the Rangers and that's a pretty scary offense. The year before Kakko the top 4 had Dahlin, Svechnikov, Tkachuk, available. A rangers team with Hughes and Tkachuk could have been scary good with the other pieces they have.
