Flames absolutely dominated the entire 3rd...Sharks got a bounce with a 2 man advantage

FFS if the Flames hung on in Edmonton they would be 3 points back...sprinkle in a couple more wins over the rest of the season.

Oh well, those guys are done...no home ice advantage

Closer than it should have been against the worst team in the league...but there are no free games, any time.

Good on the boys to shake off the blues (I'm sure they were affected by the crappy news today) and get it together in the third for another comeback win. Klapka is amazing sometimes. If he can find his inner Iggy....watch out NHL!

The ultimate would be Oilers losing out and CGY passing them…………

Showed a lot of heart once again.

I was so worried right to the end. Felt like terrible luck and weird plays could lead to the Sharks tying the game. On the the sharks’ 2nd goal… Backlund won the drawn clean to the corner and two flames (one was Hanley) went for the puck and got tangled up with each other - leading to neither being able to clear it and the Sharks scored off of that possession in the zone on a lucky bounce. Felt like the hockey gods were trying to take away this win.

Thankfully, the flames pulled it off.

Not to mention a post on the EN that would have made it 4-1

Loved what Klapka brought to the 1st line.

Really makes you wonder if the pulse of this team this year is Kadri. He has been putting the team on his back and fighting for the wins. Big game player.

Fantastic game from Sharky(25) Frost (25) Farabee(26). 3 players just hitting their stride in their mid 20s. This could be our 2nd/3rd line for the next 5 years.

Backlund defensive awareness is still elite but his offence is non existent at this point. Hoping we can get a 2nd for him at next year's deadline to a playoff team going deep.

Overall, meh 40 minutes and the boys came through in the final 20. Was really hoping Wolf would have gone for the empty net but some elite passes up the boards when the puck was dumped in!

Sharks have 50 points...if Vladar lost EVERY single game he played this season the Flames would have 9 points on them still

Tanking ain't happening, not to that level

The Grease get 2 games against the sharks. Can't imagine they drop both, but you never know! If it starts getting questionable, guaranteed they rush both Draisaitl and Mcdavid back

Not sure who was better tonight. Kapka or WeGAR.

Was hoping the Flames would dominate San Jose given what was on the line tonight.

A win is a win though.

Just did against the stupid Oilers, loved it in that case, need to avoid that on Wednesday for sure.

They both had a good game anyway. It was almost a mutual goal.

Obviously the Flames are still a long shot to make the playoffs. If they can't it would still be a small victory if they can pass NJ. Losing our pick would sting a little less somehow.

We'd still have the lower pick regardless.

1-16 are the 16 non playoff teams. So Flames could finish ahead of Nee Jersey and Montreal and still have the lower pick.
