No, it's just frustrating to see how much more productive Kuzmenko has been than Frost & Farabee since the trade. Maybe these trends don't continue, but if they do, we might be looking at another tally in the L column as far as trades go.

I think Frost was a great pickup. Better overall player than Kuzmenko.

I also think Farabee was an upgrade over Pelletier minus salary.

Kuzmenko was by far the most skilled player. He just did not fit in.

come on now, Kuzmenko is a UFA he wasn't gonna be on the Flames beyond a couple weeks anyway

Avs dominating this game but Binnington playing out of his mind, Blackwood has been a sieve and gave up 4 on the first 16 shots

which of the 4 goals should he have stopped? They were all in the home plate area. Terrible defence by the Avs; nothing Blackwood could have done on any of them

Opportunity cost. We moved out a 2nd rounder, instead of getting one (and possibly more) for Kuz+Pelts. So we're gonna have to hope that Frost pans out and becomes something more than a 3rd line center for this to have been worth it.

Too bad Colorado had to wait until 3 minutes left to get another one.

There is ZERO chance you would have got a 2nd rounder for those two guys let alone more

Huh? He was almost a point per game in his first season with the Canucks, and again last season with us.

And? Vancouver gave him away as a cap dump. Calgary threatened to put him on waivers if he didnt go to Philly. LA got him for a 3rd. Pelts cleared waivers.

Flames werent getting a 2nd...especially the way he was going here.

Cool. So the cost is a 2nd and a 3rd if Frost doesn't pan out.

I believe the Oilers have been shut out more times that the Flames this year.

Frost and Farabee.

For a team as short of centres as the Flames, Frost is easily worth a 2nd even if he doesn't move the needle offensively. Backlund is not going to last much longer, and somebody needs to play the shutdown role.

We should just be very thankful Flames didn’t extend Kuzmenko, as it sounds like they were talking over the summer. It’s pretty clear there’s something wrong with his motor, and he can’t sustain any kind of success.

This trade may end up being a 2nd for Frost. That’s just fine.

The Flyers cannot play hang on. The Habs score a pair of goals quickly to taoke a 2-1 lead in the third. Shorthanded goal and then the Flyers a late goal. Too little, too late as the Habs win 3-2 and control their destiny for eighth place.

The Bruins wake up and pound the Hurricanes 5-1.

I don’t recall any real reports of the Flames talking about re-signing him.

Did they actually? That’s horrifying if true.
