Wolf probably should've had the second. Kadri tired at end of a shift tries real low percentage play and then doesn't get behind the puck, instead trying to take it from behind the Oilers. Falls down and game over.

The captain back for 2 games. 2 losses, he has 0 points, -1. Under 50% faceoffs. 2 giveaways. 0 shots tonight. Completely hanging around the perimeter and unnoticeable until he gets pulled in with Perry.

The team needs a #1 center not spending more money wingers.

We are 3-4 players away.

I actually think the flames did a pretty good job with Draisaitl. His two goals were not high danger chances.
the winner wasn't a high danger chance? It was a 3 on 2 and he picked up the puck right down the middle in the faceoff circles with the Flames defenders backing up.

There sure seems like a lot of posters Cheer more for failure than success.
Your optimism is admirable. But misplaced. You can be as optimistic as you want but the team is all but statically eliminated.

The second they get a 1 goal lead Huska stops the fire check and has them fall back to 1-2-2 with absolutely zero pressure when defending. All he does is give the other team the puck a whole bunch and hopes they can't make a good play. This is the most pathetic system the Flames have ever played.

Marner is a 70 point player at best in this system.

We do have an elite goalie, so at least we have something of value. But man, the majority of the rest of the roster needs a huge overhaul.
We need a center that we can rely on to win a faceoff. Hard to win games when we don't have the puck and all our energy is spent just trying to get it.

Should have been an easy win for the flames without oilers #1C and #1D. They don't have their "#1 goalie" either but he sucks anyways.

Hope the season doesn't come down to 1point.

Agreed not only a terrible shot but on the back check he took the lazy path instead of hustling back. Brutal

Oilers are gonna be shocked when they realize there's no 3 on 3 in the playoffs.

I'm so frustrated with Frost for getting pokechecked like that and Kadri for wasting shots in OT. Kadri has been great but a bad angle shot like that with no Flames on the far side of the ice is so risky in OT.

Wolf made some great saves on Draisaitl early but it's tough to see him get beat like that.

Coronato is the only actual young skater on the team right now.
Don’t know if that’s the optimal set up for being a perennial contender with many high end chances for a cup.

Or he’s a 70 point player on a team with a lack of talent. Especially elite talent.

Marner is a fine player if we were 1 winger away. We are an entire 1st line and a 1st line dman away from being a contender.

By the time we are competitive, Marner will be nearing retirement.

Their Your #1C is Draisaitl. The other one is just a glorified winger.
