Thanks Devils!

Flames win today and they are 6 back of the Blues, Wild, and Oilers with 3, 2, and 1 games in hand. Definitely still a chance.

They don't have to not lose ever lose again. But they only have to win one more game than the flames over the final run. They already have 4 wins more than them for the games the Flames have in hand.

It's not being defeatist. It's understanding the odds are extremely long.

Flames need to play .800 for any chance of making the playoffs now, and that would mean they would still need one of the teams to play .500 or worse.

It's a loooooong shot. Feels like it's single digits % at this point.

Oh stop. God, the negative Nellie's are just intolerable right now. What you just wrote is not reality.

Well the numbers may not be exact but what he's saying is true with how few games are remaining. We have to play pretty lights out AND another team in a playoff spot has to be playing poorly in order to snag a spot when you're back like this.

It is a double dose of good news. The Wild lose 5-2 and the Kings lost 3-1 to the Leafs. Okay,
take a shower now.

It is hang on time for the Red Wings with 2-1 lead. Big win for Detroit if it happens!

The Rangers are putting in some effort tonight, they lead 3-0 over the biteless Sharks.

The Stars are up 2-1 in Seattle.

The Blues still project to 94 points if they play .500 the rest of the way.

To pass the Blues, the Flames need at least 95 points, meaning they need 15 more points in their final 10 games.

15 points in 10 games means a record of at least 7-2-1 (7 wins, 2 losses, 1 overtime loss) or 0.778.

And honestly likely higher than that. We maybe have 1 or 2 more losses to give after tonight.

The dog pile just got bigger now that the Red Wings beat the Bruins 2-1 in reg time. There are 5 teams within 3 points of each other for the last playoff spot in the eastern conf. The Rangers are the 8th place teams with their 6-1 rampage over the Sharks.
