Each team will play three round-robin games, earning three points for a win in regulation, two points for win in overtime or a shootout, one point for loss in OT or a shootout, and none for a loss in regulation.
Rules for this Tournament, should be adopted for the NHL

Canada's goaltending choices are strange, in my opinion. To leave off guys like Thompson, Blackwood to take the 3 goalies they chose instead... hmm, I don't know if this is gonna work out they way they hope. Sure Hill and Binn had one great playoff run, but they've really dropped off since then. Mont is just an average goalie.

In the end, USA wins it on far superior tending.

I hope it's good hockey. It might not be but I'd rather have something entertaining if it's going to happen.

I thought the Canadian coach has beef with Thompson.

Hilarious because the NHL designed it. But they don't benefit from prolonging this like they do with the NHL season. W/L only... please.

Jordan Binnington has the starter's net as Team Canada practice begins. Jon Cooper is expected to officially name his starter when he meets the media afterwards.

Does anybody know if they can dress 13 FWD and 7 d-men like international play normally or will guys be in the press box?

Personally I'd be dressing Andersson over playing LH shots on the RH side but I'm not Sweden's coach.

Can't find anything specifically, but the original rules say NHL rules on NHL-sized rink, so I'm guessing that means 20 dressed.

So if Andersson sits, the Flames don't have anyone playing in the Tournament. I guess it kind of shows the lack of Star power on the team, which is to be expected when you are rebuilding. Is the team still rebuilding, though? Seems like it has turned into a retool with some good prospects coming up. Parekh maybe the only one with high end star ceiling.

Let's be honest, a re-tool is a rebuild. They just came up with the word because we've come to expect rebuilds to take over. The Flames have pretty much stripped everything down, kept enough to have some talent still around, and have been focusing on acquiring young guys and draft picks.

A re-tool is just a rebuild that doesn't take ten years.

I think you could easily swap Forsling or Brodin out for Andersson but Forsling just won the Cup and Andersson is the 2nd youngest guy while the youngest is arguably their best so it could be more of a seniority thing.

Having Andersson in or not doesn't change the fact the Flames has a dearth of high end talent.

I am having a bit of a tough time getting interested in the 4 nations. I guess we will see once they start playing.

USA Hockey has since kept John's No. 13 jersey prominently displayed in the locker room at international tournaments, and the 4 Nations is no different.

Nah, it shows how undervalued some Flames are.

Namely Mackenzie Weegar.

And did you just forget about Dustin Wolf? Cause... he counts.

Karlsson is a bum, they will regret it if they actually stick with those pairs
