I think you are mixing 1981 and 1986 up. In 81 the Flames beat the Hawks 3-0 in the first round. Upset the Flyers in 7 in the quarterfinals before losing in 6 to the Northstars. In 86 it took the Flames 7 games to oust the Blues in the Campbell Conference final which many felt contributed to their loss in 5 games to the Canadians in the Stanley Cup final.

no no no no no... If you can get ANYTHING for Kuzy, you trade him. Before he turns back into a pumpkin.

You are correct, I did mix those up. Two losses in later rounds I felt were caused by going too long the round before.

That goal isn’t on Wolf at all. Garbage defending letting a guy skate right down broadway uncontested.

Taller goalie might have been able to get it.

It was tipped up. If a taller goalie stops it it’s by accident.

Why does Coleman pass to Coronato there? Sure he’s centre ice but he’s covered by two guys.

Well...that was an absolute snipe.

Pucks are liable to go in no matter how good you are. Its what you do afterwards that define you.

No dispute with that. As the saying goes, “they don’t ask how, they only ask how many”.
