Ugh...that was some Maginot Line stuff from the Frenchman there!

Just went right around him!

That isn't so much on Huberdeau as it is in the guy who put him in that situation with no real options. Bad pass leads to bad turnover

Pospisil trying to be fancy and Huberdeau trying to still create an offensive play from a bad position. That line is actually better when they just go to the net.

Had less than a tenth of a second with the puck before Kuch was on him. Pops had more time to dump it deep instead of doing a Patsy pass 4 feet in front of him.

Huberdeau's only play was to the other side of the ice from where Pospisil came from and lightly dropped the puck to him, becuase Pospisil brought a defender with him.
The quick play would've been for JH to throw it in the right corner, but he couldn't do that becuase Pospisil was skating into that lane.

Oh sure. I think he just should have backhanded to the boards and eaten it rather than try the long pass through Kucherovs feet. But it was a fraction of a second to make that decision.

If he makes the wide pass we’d all drool over it.

Huberdeau only had a few options and chose the worst one. But sure, blame the guy who passed it to him instead of the guy the made the terrible play with what he was left with.

Well if we're playing the game of percentages on plays made, Huberdeau probability of making any play is astronomically low in the span of time he had to make it.

If you want high percentage plays, you have to have the puck longer than the reaction time it takes a drag racer to hit the gas on a green light.

Pops had the choices and time to make them, he hung his guy out to dry. Mathematically speaking.

Edit: I hate that I'm defending Hoobastank as much as I am.

I think the only play Huberdeau had there was to try to take a step towards the boards and then fire it deep.

Pospisil put him in a bad spot for sure and Huberdeau tried to make the play to the teammate nearest to him and in the split second he had to make the decision it was the wrong decision.

Yeah it’s actually a play the pros make all the time and it just went bad (and to the wrong guy). Can’t dwell on stuff like that.

I hate that the play goes on when a guy can’t even get off the ice. It’s not like the Bomts were close to a goal. They were in their own zone.
