This is essentially where I'm at too. Kudos to him for stepping in.
A fighter protecting people who are just trying to do their jobs. This is not in their job descriptions.
A bunch of drunken rowdies going after bus-boys and waitresses is a bad time.
Going after Biz? That is 'F' around and Find Out' time.
Some people need to be taught respect. At times...forcibly if necessary.
There may be more to the story but I had the same thought.
For a couple of those guys there was a moment where their best swing did nothing and a mountain paw grabbed a shirt, twisted it up, and it went very badly.
Now yous can’t leave.

Hopefully these fools aren’t Canadians. Don’t know why, but when something like this happens and it makes big headlines it’s one of the first things I think of.
Well, it is Scottsdale in November.

I looked at the website and menu. It’s a franchise across the US. Kind of like Earls or Moxies?
I haven’t been to either of those in a long time but Earl’s was a place we’d go to in college. It’s an older crowd at Houston’s.
They don’t have many locations, Scottsdale is the only one I’ve been to. Think dim lighting, quiet, a little bit like Perry’s or Morton’s with a very traditional, American menu.
I'd bet the likely event was that Biz was smart enough and backed away sober the full way, while those guys tripped and took swings. Perhaps toward the end they got him and he got that kick to the head but 7 sober guys against one person, or not isn't good. He's also not an MMA fighter so straight fists wouldn't be enough in the real world. I don't think he wanted a fight against 7, that's for sure.
What a dip#### post. Stop while you’re ahead.

I was thinking the exact same thing when I first read it.
I've never met Bissonnette, I've heard he's nice and polite, I cant stand his podcasts because thats just way too much 'dude-bro' energy for me, but just look at him.
That is a man that throws hands like an inmate.
Its sort of what I like about Lomberg. He's short, small and of all things rather innocuous looking. He looks like he should be out surfing on a beach somewhere. You'd think nothing of him until the blows come raining downup upon thee.
Bissonnette? That guy is like 'Old School' Vintage Hockey Goon. You can see that from miles away.
And why do people have to be dicks in restaurants anyways? These people are just doing their jobs. There are far more appropriate places to get leathered than the local Applebees or whatever. Its America. Hit up a CVS and find an alley.
Minor correction.

sorry has it come out that these guys were visiting from Boston because they look like they've come out of central casting as extras in a Damon/Affleck movie

I bolded celebrity...that is the part I thought was a stretch not that he is a nice guy or whatever.
He is definitely a celebrity in the hockey world but ok. He has more social media followers than the majority of NHL players, he is probably more recognizable than most too.
Sure “celebrity” in the hollywood sense he is not but there are few personalities bigger than him in the sport.
To argue Biz isn't a celebrity Is idiotic. He is like the Charles Barkley equivalent for the TNT broadcasting of the NHL in the United States and usually sits across from Wayne Gretzky.
