For once, I'd like to see Zary and Coronato together in OT.

The roster shows they are every bit as bad the numbers say they are.

Not even a PDO heater.
Wait! What? There are ten teams with worse powerplays?

That seems unfathomable.

Washington's PP is only 8.7%. That's crazy with a guy like Ovechkin.

That much, I knew. But, I’m genuinely shocked that our PP is mediocre and not complete ass.

Buffalo is becoming a tough out, they're 7-4-1 after a disastrous start in Europe and a loss to the Kings to start 0-3. It wouldn't shock me to see them fighting for a PO spot.

Entertaining hockey plus a loss = good. Would have preferred it without earning the loser point.

Nah...I'm all about the effort.

Down 2-0 to come back and earn a point? That is so valuable. Its about the work ethic and the effort.

I know people want high draft picks. These are the Calgary Flames. Its not going to happen. Make peace with that and move along.

The culture is more important than the height of the pick.

Have to say that I’m liking Bahl more and more. Underrated building block piece added by Conny there. Tough to find a young 6’6” guy that can play but it’s so important.

Yep, culture eats strategy for breakfast.

I thought it was a boring game until we had to press.

Huska hockey is quickly becoming hard to watch.

Zero motion in our offence it’s like these guys are assigned routes playing madden and don’t make any adjustments.

Straight lines down the ice. Defenceman hug the boards. Rim it around. Shoot thought sticks and bodied rinse and repeat.

Even the goals Andersson created by skating into the high danger area against Vancouver and Edmonton that’s gone as well.

I can understand the lack of talent but what are we doing. I can even understand giving up opportunities on the PP if we are being creative, but it’s honestly mistakes by being so rigid.

We agree to disagree. What’s so great about the Flame’s culture over the last decade plus that it needs to be maintained?

I’m not sure what culture is being built by being ####ty all game and turning it on just for the 3rd. Or having horrific special teams.

If we are going to subjected to 1-2 goals and getting buried on the PP and PK I want to be rewarded with a high draft pick.

I think the culture is more about off ice and off season stuff. Being prepared to play.

The Leafs' PP is 16th. Does that suck?

Get used the Flames losing a lot. They are not a good team. Why does this surprise you?

Very well said

For all the losers who wish to lose (all 19,000 of them).
Let’s totally abandon culture

Perhaps they should all buy season tickets and then we can just save a lot of trouble and please the season ticket holders by forfeiting all the games.
Its very simple really

It’s not about winning or losing.

If we have been a team that’s competing and going for all 3 periods that’s a different story. Right now we are getting outplayed which isn’t surprising but we only show up when we go down.

Special teams are terrible. We are being bailed out by some good goaltending when we go down and some late comebacks.

I’m not sure what I’m reading here. Did people think that this team was oozing talent at the start of the season? I’m not thrilled with the coaching hire but getting this roster to being remotely competitive and currently in a playoff position demands praise, not criticism. Yes, this team has serious flaws. Are people surprised?

Or, this team just isn’t that great and they are doing their best. Playing from behind may be a symptom of a team that isn’t that great. Again, special teams are based on the upper end talent of the team, which isn’t great. What were you expecting? If this team consistently was ahead then it would likely be a better team than currently constructed.

I don’t disagree with you at all, the team is what it is in that sense. What I can’t stand are the ones who aren’t happy with any points and who apparently simply want zero points/effort.

Easy to say if you never buy a ticket and have no real investment in things
