Hate that shot by Weegar, finally get possession and shoot it into somebody's ankle

I wasn’t a big fan of the delay of game call. It was a deflection of a puck that was already in the air and two players were contesting for the puck.

Holding the zone looking like a game of pinball for the Flames.

Such awful choices with the puck. Regroup at intermission, give your heads a shake

I didn’t think the PP could get any worse than our 4.4%
They’ve proven me wrong thus far, woof it’s just absolutely garbage.

This team looks cooked, the effort is just too few and far between sadly.
They look like a bunch of guys out there collecting a paycheck. I’d be fine with this, but bring in more youth.

I’ll add, move Vladar now before his value diminishes.

It's the zone entries. That's the primary culprit. Don't think they have the players who have the mindset for it. Or if they do (Zary, Coronato) they defer to the vets.

Huh, it's not 4.4% is it?

That would have to be 32nd ranked, which they aren't.

Kinda got to pick a lane at some point. I feel like they have with the make up of the FW group. Just gonna ride these vets and plugs all year and the small smattering of kids is just lip service.

It's the tank way.

Sharangovich, Zary, Coronato can keep rolling though, the rest of the FWs I'm not really invested in. I like Mantha too.

I'd expect we'll see that happen over time.

Extracting value out of Vladar would be a win. As much as I think he's been better than his numbers show, people are right when they say that's always the case with him - so I'm probably just seeing what I want to see. He looks like he's better than his results have been, but his results have been consistent pretty much his entire time here. I'm keen to see Cooley for sure.

My hope remains we do end up trading Andersson, and get a haul for him.

If you look at where the Flames are salary cap-wise, then we just have to remember that Conroy did his part. This is a bottom-5 on paper, and the payroll aligns with that.

I say if you're going to go down (which they aren't really, they're 1 win back of the Maple Leafs currently and ahead of the Oilers), then do it riding the kids and playing them in prominent positions with the best opportunities.

Did the game already started? But the Flames didn't, what I saw last period.

Hey Huby serves a very valuable role - keeping the Flames above the salary min.
