I love that Huska rewards guys that are playing well. Starting Coronato in OT is such a nice change from previous coaches that just rolled the same guys regardless of how they were playing. A coach players ( and especially young ones) would want to play for.

I'm encouraged to see Coronato snipe two like this. The OT goal is the shot that scored 40+ in the USHL, and the poise to score the first one wasn't there last year. Fun to see him showing what he might be able to do at this level. Let him be the apprentice with Backlund and Coleman.

A feel good win because it’s those who are our future that fuelled it for us.

I want to see more of this and less of the veterans - we need to get younger before we get better, that should be our path now.

I know slow motion replays can be sketchy, but it kind of looks like Heinemen kicked his foot a little into Mantha's ankle in the hit that gave Mantha a lower body injury.

And just like every other sad stat, I wouldn’t be surprised if we were on the wrong side for 4 of the other 6.

The rebuilds keep getting older but it seems the Habs and Senators keep staying bad. For all the prospect the Habs have accumulated, they are still a really bad hockey team. I expect it's going to take them another few seasons before they can turn the corner.

Habs have only been rebuilding for 3 years, and two of those picks aren't with the team yet (Reinbacher and Demidov). They are still fully rebuilding IMO.

Senators are what they are because they made two moves that weren't very smart in the Debrincat and Chychrun trades and traded high picks way too early in a rebuild.

They were able to turn the Debrincat trade tree (7th OV - Kevin Korchinski, 39th OV) into Ullmark at least.

But they gave up 12th OV and 2 2nds for Chychrun, who they've turned into Nick Jensen.

Turning two top 12 picks and 3 2nds into 34 year old Nick Jensen and 31 year old Linus Ullmark is a good way to undercut a rebuild though.

Demidov should be good I'm not sure Reinbacher is going to be a franchise guy or even top pairing. I don't think Travis Green was a great hire for the Senators who are kind of in that Treliving era Flames issue of not being able to find the right head coach. It just goes to show that the road could be bumpy for the Flames as well in the coming seasons as rebuilds don't always to as planned.

Coronato showed off a lot of what was advertised when he was drafted… tenacity on the forecheck and a wicked shot. Loved it. Hoping he stays with Backlund and Coleman as they are a great pair for developing young players. Also, he fits well in place of Mangiapane who had similar skills but fell down a lot more when attempting tight turns.

If Mantha is out a while, any thoughts on who gets the call up? Klapka? Pelletier? Kerins?

Why call up anyone when you have Rooney right there??

[Hopefully they call up Pelletier]

Slow down the OT goal and the puck is in the back of the net and Backlund is celebrating at 4:54...could have been tied for the fastest OT goal
