Normally I'd likely agree with you, but this ain't your Grand-pappy's Brighton & Hove...they are a conscious, well trained and well organized team.

The Albion aren't an easy-3 anymore.

I'm not sure who approved a black kit vs a dark burgundy kit but this Villa-Arsenal match is kind of terrible to watch.

I don't give a flying #### who the opponent is.

It doesn't matter who the opponent is. This is a structural and a mental problem, not an "OMG the opponent is well-coached" problem.

Has anyone told 'Arry Maguire that England isnt in the 1950s anymore and that he may update his haircut?

It looks like his mom still does it.

And as for Spurs?

Everton says..."You're welcome."

Its funny, I saw an article titled "Is this the year Everton get relegated?"

Well...they should have been relegated 2 years ago but the EPL threw them a lifeline, they were damned close last season...maybe stop trying to save them?

It’s kind of unbelievable to me that Newcastle has made their kit so glaringly Saudi.

I hadn’t planned on tuning in until I saw your post. Holy hell - even the club crest has been changed.

Who the hell are their sponsors? A dissident body refrigeration service?

Cole Palmer is pretty good.

Saw a stat that he has 15 goals and 10 assists in his 19 appearances in the 2024 calendar year now.

Deadline day a bit of a nice mundane distraction today.

Looks like Jadon Sancho might move to Chelsea today. Makes little sense for him on paper, but he might just be the type who likes the combination of London, big wages and little playing time.

Not that Boehly would ever do a presser, but it would be fun for him to try and explain what Chelsea's transfer strategy actually is. Throwing darts are the board with a bunch of players pictures on it? Pulling names out of a hat?

I just can't really believe that players are even going there. I know, I know, money and contracts. But still...the manager has come right out and said he's not playing guys and they're not training with the team. That has to be terrible?

And how in the world this works with FFP is beyond me. Maybe the plan is "buy everyone today so that when we get banned from transfers we have tons of players"?

1. Its a joke.
2. They've got backers with unlimited funds. They can just 'Pull a City' and get an outrageous shirt and name rights deal and *poof* they're compliant again! Like magic!

sad to see Scott McTominay leave for Napoli. Decent fee (€30m), but he was a valuable squad member. Good backup who fancied an important goal ... in the end, they had to sell someone to fund the signing of Manuel Ugarte from PSG, but I hate that it had to be McTominay. Hoped Casemiro would go to Saudi Arabia, but that one never happened. oh well.

Sterling likely to Arsenal. Did not expect that.

Everton choking a 2-0 lead in the 87th to lose 3-2...maybe it's finally relegation SZN?

Would be hilarious, just in time for the new stadium's grand opening.

The Alien continues to be utterly insane. Surely going over 40 this year if he stays healthy.

Pope has made some great stops today

Both halves now Tottenham have all the pressure for 30 minutes, and don't get what they should have from it, and then concede.

Very Spurs.
