If you're keeping him out because he's an awful person, then start removing others.
Apparently not the case, as Women and amateurs are included.

Alan Eagleson was expelled from the Hall for his dealings and theft. He even had his Order of Canada stripped.
As for the debate about Flurey and Don Cherry. I could potentially debate Flurey and see someone not thinking he is worthy of the Hall, despite his numbers, Cup, Canada Gold medal etc.
Thinking Don Cherry doesn't belong is beyond laughable based on his entire hockey career stretching 8 decades. Player, coach, broadcaster and Canadian cultural icon for a long time. When we all know marginal players get in every year, you can't deny someone with his resume doesn't belong. He will get in, the question becomes why not do it when he is alive? The same logic goes for other older potential inductees who may not have much time left.

Yeah, I am not one of Don Cherry's biggest supporters, but he definitely belongs in there. One of the biggest promoters and recognizable people in hockey ever.
He said some controversial stuff, but it's not like is some evil criminal. I don't subscribe to the notion that everyone in the HHOF needs to be a saint. I guess you draw the line somewhere, but I don't think it's at Don Cherry.
