Happy for Bob, Barkov, and Reinhart but not for Tkachuck. No effin way I cheer team bailers. Unfortunately, that goes for Bennett.
Why don't you quit pulling a Draisaitl and stop being so pissy?

I enjoyed the shout out. He could have said absolutely nothing about Calgary. But he clearly feels the rivalry vs Edmonton from his time in Calgary. Was a cool moment.

I'd like it a lot closer to Edmonton. 299.9KM away to be exact.

No matter the exit, when you have a player, who, in the biggest moment of his sporting life, after thanking teammates and family, thanks the people of the city and fans of his former team and knows how big a deal this is for Calgary and Flames fans, is pretty cool.

If you are a Flames player or thinking of being a Flames player, seeing that on the ice of a Stanley Cup win, for a former player who is still so passionate about the Flames rivalry to bring that up, understanding about how passionate Flames fans are, should get you fired up too.

Hell, it should put into perspective for the front running, bandwagon cowardly fans who now own Flames and Oiler merchanside, especially in this city...that if a former player here for a handful of years cares about the rivalry and, in his biggest moment, to comment about how happy he is to defeat the Flames rival because he knows how much that means to people here in Calgary, maybe some people who still live in this city should care more too.

True, perhaps geography wasn't the best metric to use in comparison, but you get the gist. We all hate Edmonton.

Hope you guys soak in this Chucky/Bennett Cup win as much as the Oilers soak in their Ls

They are now officially #FlamesForLife after stopping that dogcrap org

So I guess the only one you would cheer for is Barkov, all the others were acquired or signed and according to you aren't real Panthers.

Sorry, I wasn't responding to your comment, I meant to quote the person you responded to.

Great call here by Vinny, ok, not Game 4 or 6, but as I agreed with in the thread, clearly understood the rivalry...not so much from KipperIggy.

I'm sorry but there just can't be a "thanks" limit on a night the oilers lose the cup.

Yup. I completely agree with Burke. Sign Tkachuk to a long term deal instead of that bridge, slap the C on him when Gio left, and imagine where the Flames would be right now

Everyone has opinions on what happened with the Tkachuk trade.

However, one thing is certain, there is a little bit of Calgary in Tkachuk - in fact a lot more than in those Calgarians that now own Oilers merchandise.

I don't think we would have won much, and the Oilers would likely have a cup.

Compare our roster even with Johnny and Tkachuk to the Panthers. The center depth and higher end wingers just aren't comparable at all.
