A warm body to possibly replace Hanifan when he's gone. Time will tell.

ah yes, that's it. I knew there was some sort a caveat to the "send straight to the AHL when reclaimed", but didn't remember what it is. Thx.

Hanley is an upgrade on Oestrele.

Hopefully we can send Oestrele down and eventually play Porier, Solo or Kuznetsov on the bottoming pair with ocasionally seeing Hanley.

He is a good 7th dman

so even the equipment manager mispells Noahs name? No wonder the man wants out of here.

EDIT: solid ninja edit though

That's a rough defense after Hanifin is gone. Last part of the season is going to be ugly.

And if Markstrom goes too? Oooof....going to climb a few spots in the draft order, so that's good.

And assuming Florida gives this years pick to Philly and we get theirs next year as part of the Monahan fiasco, we'll want to finish bottom 10 so that Montreal gets Floridas pick.

woof. Going to be a rough ride, especially if Markstrom ends up being traded after all. Totally fine with stacking Ls for the rest of the season, don't get me wrong.

I was hoping for this to happen. Hanley is a good enough #6/7 and the flames need a body for the next while. He is a cheap serviceable option.

He's top six in this patchwork defence, especially after Hanifin is gone. If anything, this pushes down the likes of Gilbert and/or Oesterle to the No. 7.

Hershey bringing in all the ringers if he can go down. They are already the best team in the AHL and just got Kuznetsov and could have Phillips.

Really like that the Flames are waiver shopping to fill the gaps. Keep the picks, even the late rounders, and just keep building.

Imagine if you're Jordan Oesterle and constantly reading online and hearing from everyone about how you suck lol... poor guy. Gotta have nerves of steel to be a 7th defenseman in this league.
